About
Located less than an hour from Seattle in Lakewood, Oakbrook Golf Club is one of the area's hidden gems. Opened in 1966 as a private club, the course opened its doors to the public in 2012. The course is known for its smooth, firm, and fast greens. The 6,700-yard layout plays both narrow and long but it is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. With hundreds of mature oak trees scattered throughout the course, accuracy is key. It's a course that rewards strategy rather than raw skill. One of Oakbrook Golf Club's toughest holes is the par-4 seventh, which you'll have to play from below since it's sloped steeply from top to bottom. The downhill shots and doglegs will put golfers of any skill level to the test.

Nice well maintained track
Ex private club which has recently converted to daily fee. Still has a feel of a Country Club, super condition, fairways very good condition, tee boxes excellent and Greens superb, bunkers were all raked with decent amount of sand. My only thing here and this is really picky but the tee boxes are not numbered (I know this is a throwback to the country club days) the layout is fairly easy to follow and the map on the scorecard helps. Hitting thru the power lines crossing the fairways was interesting. overall a great place and the halfway shack was reasonable priced too.
Nothing special
Course is ok. Flat. Greens were littered with pitch marks. Apparently the people that usually play out there do not know how to fix them. Would have appreciated knowing there were about 4 temp greens from the course staff or golf now but that didn't happen either.
