Tahoma Valley Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 45 minutes southwest of Tacoma, Tahoma Valley Golf Course has garnered a reputation for being the driest course in the Puget Sound. The course boasts well manicured greens that putt fast and true. The greens showcase the best of the Northwest's undulating, bump-and-run golf. Its location provides every hole with a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Just shy of 6,000 yards from the back tees, it's not an especially long layout but it is narrow enough to present a challenge. The wide fairways are forgiving, making it player friendly enough for beginners, and there are enough challenges to please high handicappers as well. With an abundance of mature trees throughout, Tahoma Valley Golf Course demands accuracy. The par 3s are particularly memorable for both their views and level of difficulty.

It was cool, but not worth the drive
I liked the course, but I feel there are better courses to hit up within the same distance . Staff was friendly. The design of the course leaves too many opportunities for someone to get nailed. Hole 17 to 18 you have to backtrack forcing the people on 17 to have to wait. I don’t hate this place, but for me I probably won’t go back.
Greens were good
The rest was decent and pretty inexpensive. My GPS went haywire on 17 and a local told me that part of the course was sold for a new road and the course was restructured. 17 and 18 now tee off from the same place, not quite what it used to be, just a little funky but still fun. The bar & grill were nice. Large Mac and Jacks for $5.
Good Value for the Money
Good playing conditions and course conditions. Pace of play excellent.
Busy day mens club
There was only two of us and mens club playing in front of us but it wasn’t real slow, been in a lot worst at other Coarse’s.
Cart girl
We had a 10:16. Was very disappointed with the cart girl. We started our round with the temperature at 83°. The time we completed our round it was 96° and the cart girl never came by once.
Love the place wish i lived closer
Excellent as usual! Nice friendly staff golf and restaurant. Very pleasant to come to know them.
Great par 3!
Cold beer. Immaculate greens. What more could you ask for in a solid par 3 course.
Tahoma Golf review
I found the course average. What I did not like is this course did not have enough golf carts to accommodate the number of players on the course. We had to wait an additional 1/2 hour before we were able to get a cart.
Drive a little, save a lot.
Had a great playing day today. Perfect weather, course in great shape, not too crowded and the beer was good and cold afterward.
Slow play
The last group from the men's club has extremely slow pace of play and seem to have no regard for their pace of play and the slow down they cause.
