Tahoma Valley Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 45 minutes southwest of Tacoma, Tahoma Valley Golf Course has garnered a reputation for being the driest course in the Puget Sound. The course boasts well manicured greens that putt fast and true. The greens showcase the best of the Northwest's undulating, bump-and-run golf. Its location provides every hole with a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Just shy of 6,000 yards from the back tees, it's not an especially long layout but it is narrow enough to present a challenge. The wide fairways are forgiving, making it player friendly enough for beginners, and there are enough challenges to please high handicappers as well. With an abundance of mature trees throughout, Tahoma Valley Golf Course demands accuracy. The par 3s are particularly memorable for both their views and level of difficulty.

Too many driving carts allowed on course
The course is soaking wet, and all the driving carts are tearing up the course. At some point the cost of repair will become greater than the money made from allowing driving carts. I considered this course to be a hidden gem, but it’s turning into a sloppy mess.
On a positive note, I’ve complained about the bathroom cleanliness before. They’ve improved a lot since then.
How is this place so inexpensive? Best value ever!
I play all over and this place is the best value anywhere. It's never overly muddy like Tumwater Valley when its bern raining for the past week. Anty muddy places are easily avoidable.
Saff has always been nice. Food is great. Green are very nice, a place like this could easily run $60 to 80 in California. This is a nicre place for golfers of all levels. Pace of play can be a little slow but only sometime. But other times there's no one here, so it's not a problem. If you're willing to just relax and chill with your friends and not get all bent outa shape when there are newer golfer ahead, (we all started there too) this is a very fun place. You don't have yo worry about your collar or whether or not your shirt is tucked in and just have fun and focus on your game. I can play anywhere but keep on coming back here because this place is the best value ! The only downside is no driving range and no where really times blow off your shoes. The Putting & chipping practice areas are good.
Fun & Relaxing
Tahoma is a great local course. Perfect for golfers who want to relax and enjoy their play. The course has a good mix of challenging terrain to keep it fun. The only draw back is the lack of practice range. Otherwise the club house and cafe are on point. The cost to play can't be matched.
First timer
Great course for such a good price. Greens were pure, layout was fun. Definitely recommend
Great course
I’m hesitant to leave a review because I don’t want the course to get too busy, but am doing so for two reasons: I’d love to meet new golf buddies and I hope the resistant steps up it’s game, get beer from Black Raven brewery ( Mens Room Ale specifically), and keep the men’s room cleaner (urine buildup on the floor is disguising).
