Tahoma Valley Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 45 minutes southwest of Tacoma, Tahoma Valley Golf Course has garnered a reputation for being the driest course in the Puget Sound. The course boasts well manicured greens that putt fast and true. The greens showcase the best of the Northwest's undulating, bump-and-run golf. Its location provides every hole with a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Just shy of 6,000 yards from the back tees, it's not an especially long layout but it is narrow enough to present a challenge. The wide fairways are forgiving, making it player friendly enough for beginners, and there are enough challenges to please high handicappers as well. With an abundance of mature trees throughout, Tahoma Valley Golf Course demands accuracy. The par 3s are particularly memorable for both their views and level of difficulty.

New owners are stepping up their game. Keep going.
Played this course a few times a year and the course wasn't being kept up, but it looks like the new owners are really set on making this a better course. The greens were very nice the day I played and they really look to have improved the mowing, with well defined fairways and roughs, nice job. New hole signs were going up the day I played and overall the place really looks to be improved. Now if they can figure out what to do with 17-18 (ridiculous setup) and put some yardage poles up, this would really help even more as the small bricks for the 100-150-200 markers are super difficult to find. Put up poles at least at the 150 and it would speed up pace of play for us walkers. Overall, looking up.
Slow and cold food
Really slow pace of play from others. Also the restaurant was super slow with not being busy. Food also came out cold
Extremely busy with no Marshal
Just like the title says it was extremely busy with no Marshall teed off 15 minutes after teatime group in front of us was six people with the kid. Very hilly Course hard to see over hills. Pace of play was extremely slow. Holes are right next to each other, so there was constantly carts and people driving in the middle of fairways.
Would play again only on off peak times.
Disappointed
Would not honor, confirmed GolfNow rate. Claimed it was old prices yet two weeks later they still are supposedly incorrect.
No notice that restaurant bar and regular bathrooms We’re all under construction
