Tahoma Valley Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 45 minutes southwest of Tacoma, Tahoma Valley Golf Course has garnered a reputation for being the driest course in the Puget Sound. The course boasts well manicured greens that putt fast and true. The greens showcase the best of the Northwest's undulating, bump-and-run golf. Its location provides every hole with a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Just shy of 6,000 yards from the back tees, it's not an especially long layout but it is narrow enough to present a challenge. The wide fairways are forgiving, making it player friendly enough for beginners, and there are enough challenges to please high handicappers as well. With an abundance of mature trees throughout, Tahoma Valley Golf Course demands accuracy. The par 3s are particularly memorable for both their views and level of difficulty.

Don't play after 10AM
I had a 1PM tee time, and due to a bad hip, can't waik a hilly 18-hole course. However they had stopped giving out carts because they didn't have any that could work. They do not have enough carts to play an entire day. If you need a cart, you can't play after 10AM.
Good Round
Had a good golf round. Course in good shape overall considering it has been dry for weeks. Enjoyed our day there including our meals after our 18 holes.
Good Day At Tahoma
The course was not perfect but I wouldn't say bad just a few dry spots but it has been dry and watering can only do so much. I shot my best round this year so I am happy. We ate afterwards and all enjoyed our food. Really nice Chef salad for me. I was surprised by the lack of golfers on the course at midday, we teed off at 11am.
Course was well taken care of. Layout was somewhat confusing on last 2 holes with no signs of direction. Individual was as pleasant as he could have been.
Cow Pasture
Wow, my cart’s ebrake wouldn’t work so I had to park on level spots. The pace was excruciating, the third hole had a temporary green and the sprinklers were going so I couldn’t putt. I had enough, I left.
63 years of golfing and Bobby volunteered to show me how the brakes on the cart work - it was broken. I would not ever play here again.
Cow Pasture
Worst course ever, my cart’s ebrake didn’t work, temporary green at the third hole which I couldn’t play anyways because the sprinklers were on. That was enough, I left, never to return.
Not good
I come from Wisconsin and this was by far the worst course I’ve ever played. Sprinklers were on mid round at 2pm. Very poor course conditions. Staff consistently driving back and forth throughout holes. The rental clubs were the worst I’ve ever used. Overall very bad course but cheap so if you want to play a round of golf inexpensively would be a good option
