Great time at Browns Lake
This is my kind of course. I've been blowing my driver all over the place and while you need to keep watch in the other fairways it was back and forth routing which allows for consistent finding of golf balls and shooting over, under and thru trees to get back in play.
Some great elevation change for southern WI that made some holes much harder. Loved the 3rd hole par 3 over the bridge and like I was talking about 7 plays up the hill very difficult to figure out approach shot to a small green on the perch.
Conditions were great for what we payed and minimal pitch marks on the greens so kudos to the golfers who play here taking care of their place or the superintendent team working overtime to keep things with minimal divot marks.
Way to go Browns Lake, can't wait to try Ives Grove.
Great round for the money
I was paired with two other gentlemen. We all found the course a little challenging. I was more frustrated that the three-some behind us played right up on us. For most of the back nine. I do not enjoy being pushed.
I would try the course again.
good time
We teed off at 7:07 and had the course almost to our selves. The weather was prefect and we finished in less than 3 hrs. A single caught up to us and joined. The course is narrow and short on some holes also some long and blind holes so you have to take a little ride to see where to hit.
Great time
Staff was so friendly. We had a great round of golf.
Brutal pace
Pros, love the layout, course great shape, great food, value very good
Con, pace of play brutal, foursome ahead played every shot like life or death, as old as they where maybe was. Waited on every shot for 18 holes. Seems to be that way every time i play there..
5somes?!?
Decent course, not a $45 course. And they let, or didn’t police, multiple 5somes in front of me and my friend on a Saturday morning. Nearly 5 hours to play. Completely unacceptable.
