About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Labor Day weekend
We played Inniscrone this past Labor Day weekend and the course was in good condition. Played earlier in the summer after a storm and there was a lot of wet areas then, there were some soggy areas but dry for the most part. The greens were in good shape, tee boxes in the shady areas were a but used up. Overall, I will play this course again as the rate is good for paying for all of the members in the group.

Good pace of play but conditions aren't the greatest
Tee boxes were muddy, some greens were muddy and some had large dead spots, along with certain holes having fairways that were really mushy where everything plugged during a hot & dry weekend. I appreciate the layout and would not have been pleased to play full price. I'd play play here again, but only on a "hot deal". Staff was friendly.

Back again
I played in a twosome on a Monday morning. We had a half hour rain delay so course was wet with some standing water, but very playable. Course is overall still in decent shape, but having played here last month, both the greens and especially some of the tee boxes are looking chewed up. Pace of play was quick; we are not great golfers and we got around in 3:45. Still good value for the money.

Nice round with my son
I booked the day prior and was able to get a last minute hot deal, the weather was great, the course was in good shape and the pace of play was good. The course has several unique holes that take a few rounds to learn how to play, but it is a fun course with some elevation changes and good greens and fairways.

Practice round
Played fast till the 12 th hole, then hit a wall. Congratulations are ok. Greens this in spots, but fast overall.
Today was the day i finally played the tips on the par 3 8th. 235 yards. Driver off the tee, pin high right, up and down for par!! Will never get better then that for me.

OUTDTANDING - Great Challenge
Course was in phenominal.comditio., I played the green tees which provided an excellentt challenge, I am a 12 handicap, the course provides a reward for.posituon golf vs distance. Many carries required off the tee, and numerous blind shots added to the challenge

A personal favorite
Been playing Inniscrone as long as It’s been open to the public. Overall conditions are a bit under expectations. Tee boxes are below average and some of the greens are very thin on grass.
I do like that they spread the tee times at 15 minutes apart. Played in just under 4 hours while never seeing the group in front or behind us. Also, missed an ace on the 5th hole by 18 inches. Did make the birdie putt.

High handicappers beware.
I'm a local who shoots in the 90s and I find this course extremely challenging. It's tough to break 100. So, my review is from the high handicapper perspective. Most tee shots are surrounded by woods so bring plenty of balls. Fairways are usually sloped. Above or below your feet shots are typical which makes them challenging. Be prepared to get difficult bounces and lies off the tee if you hit a fairway. Greens are generous and undulation is average. I've found the fairways to be very wet for many holes also. Lots of water, no ponds to hit over but lots of creeks and marsh hazards. Reasonable range and practice green (in poor shape). Cart included in price which is EXCELLENT value. Someday I'll really enjoy playing this course. Too frustrating for my current skill level.

Nice course rough experience
Course was nice. Pace was on the slow side as ended up jammed with 6 groups at the turn. Limited items at the course and only one staff member to check in and deal with merchandise and food purchases. Enjoyed the round but not sure if I’d return for another round.
