Wildhorse Golf Course

It's great lay out I've played it for years the staff is over the top friendly and there grill is worth hanging around for my only complaint is the greens were punched and they didn't let me know when I booked but for 58 bucks on a weekend it's always worth going there

Called course night before to confirm tee time. When to course next day. Found out they were punching greens that day. I asked guy working check in, why no one told me they where aerating greens today. He said they told everyone who called in. He asked me when I called, I told him it should not matter when I called cause you guys knew when you where going to aerate greens but that I hade called at 5pm the day before. He just handed me the keys to my cart. NICE!

We didn’t get to play first two holes cause they were sanding them… started on 3rd hole. Obviously greens weren’t really playable. We basically get on green and figured 2 putts. We played 3-9. Went to club house to grab something to eat and drink. Club house eating area was closed, no cart person with drinks or snacks was driving around. Played 10th hole with no flag. We were on the green and got kicked off by maintenance crew. Maintenance guy told us the back nine was closed. There were no signs telling us otherwise. Guy in club house at check in never said anything about back nine being closed….oh! Ya! Range was closed due to balls be lost in puddles. The range was dry as a bone in the middle of desert. First time using GN. Loved the whole GN experience… Bad experience with the rest. I would of thought club house guy would of given us free rounds for a later date or at least few free bucks of range balls for another time.

You know the saying “ worst day golfing is still better than best day at work”….NOT TRUE!!!!!!!

Environmentally sensitive areas to carry

The course was in pretty good condition considering all the weather we’ve had lately the greens are in very good condition. It was amazing that we were able to drive our carts on the fairway with a 90° rule shows how great the course drains.

I live in Dixon and we don’t have many golf choices close by. Wildhorse is the definite go to for me locally. Always great time, great course, great staff

Course was in decent shape. Dry patches felt like hitting off rock, greens were choppy probably hadn't been rolled in the last 4 days or so. Thought the course was in better shape when i played it back in October. Course conditions are similar to cypress lakes in Vacaville for comparison purposes. Possibly the wind plays a big factor in dryness in the afternoons. I personally think with additional watering, etc. this would be an absolutely great course year round. I like the course and the conditions are decent. I'd recommend to others and I'll be back again in the future.

Course was in better shape when i played it back in October. Greens hadn't been rolled in a while, they were semi slow and not smooth. Some areas around the greens were green but hard as a rock underneath, some soil cracking. Other areas had minimal browning. Could have been due to a mid day round or minimal watering during this time of the year. Good course overall, enjoyable day, will play again if the opportunity arises.

Great course, great weather and great people makes for a fantastic day even with a mediocre score of 8. Staff is professional and very knowledgeable. I recommend this course.

What a treat to hit out of bunkers with soft sand. Plenty of water and environmental hazards to keep your attention.

Decent layout, but course conditions could be better. Good enough to comeback to in the future.

Tee'd off 20 mins late due to facility not having carts available. By hole 3 there was a 5 min wait at every tee box. By hole 8 there was 4 groups backed up. They over book and do not enforce pace of play. Took 4 1/2 hours to play 14 holes and didn't get to finish our round.

I’ve played Wildhorse a number of times. Every time, pace of play becomes an issue. Even with marginal course conditions. By the time we hit #14, we were stacked up behind a party on the tee, a party on the fairway. And a party on the green. Delays and congestion seem to be an going problem at Wildhorse.
