Wildhorse Golf Course

Course condition was average but bunker condition is very poor.

First off, the greens are in fantastic shape. Very smooth and well kept. Highlight of the course. Downside? Bunkers everywhere and they’re gigantic. That’s my problem if I go into them, but it’s the course’s problem if they’re concrete dirt blocks where you learn nothing. They need to be filled in or made smaller if they’re not going to upkeep them and make them playable. Fairways are generally well kept with some bare spots that need attention. Most of the fairways are fair but could benefit from widening as they’re so narrow it’s almost a joke. No one is a pro here so why not make them a tad bit more accessible. Plenty of areas that were fenced off that could easily become part of the track with very little work.

Better than I imagined and one of the better courses i have played in the area. Everything it was advertised to be.

Environmental hazards along with water and OB makes course a challenge. Bunkers in terrible condition.

Greens aerated few weeks ago still bumpy putts.

Great course. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on course conditions was because they recently punched the greens.

Sometimes had to look for a place the tee could be pushed into the hard ground.

The staff was polite. The course must not have the money to maintain it because it looks like this used to be a nice course and it looks like a cheap run down muni to me.

Course condition was ok, edges of the fairways are pretty bare and burnt out, lots of crazy hops from the hard pan. Some bunkers were great other were not even playable, lots of ground under repair areas too. Greens rolled nice and true were just about slow, not enough people fixing divots in the fairways or on the greens. Pace of play was good for a Sunday starting at 9:30 but backed up on the back nine and no Marshall’s out assisting with pace.

Fun course most will enjoy, hopefully they can tune it up a bit and improve some of the playing conditions!

Pace of play and lack of on course concession cart ruined what would have been an enjoyable round of golf. To not have a marshal visible to push slower players was a disappointment; never a good sign when there are multiple groups waiting. Adding to the slow pace of play was not having a refreshment cart on a 90+ degree day made it miserable.
