Viroqua Hills Golf Course

The course was maintained very well. The elevation changes make for challenging golf and scenic views. Well worth what we paid, great value.

Lot of hills and uphill shots. Also a lot of blind shots. Not my cup of tea.

Course is in excellent condition and greens were almost perfect. Mix of newer holes (4-13) and classic holes. Fun course with little of the back and forth of older courses. The course was relatively busy but moved well. Only issue was the "turn hut" (not a traditional 9/10 turn hut) was supposed to be open, but it wasn't (again). After noon, a wonderful woman made a round of the course with her kind son.

Early morning game allowed me to play through in 2.5 hours. Staff and other golfers are very friendly and course is absolutely beautiful.

Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course a few days ago. The scenery is magnificent, the holes were in great shape, and there was no one there so we flew through the course. The only down side seems to be very long roughs. I had trouble even finding my ball if I missed the fairway because the grass was so long.

I have played this course several times over the last few years. It is always in good shape and well cared for generally.

Hole 9 does not end up at the club house so one must be aware that a snack, etc. is not available until a couple of holes later.

Course is challenging but fair. Some very interesting holes that are made so by the terrain. Smallish undulating greens can be tricky. All in all an enjoyable course.

Viroqua Hills is always in great shape, with tight fairways, consistent bunkers, and smooth greens. I make the trip from near Madison (about 90 minutes) a couple of times a year and have never been disappointed. It’s always five stars! For a small town golf course, it’s in wonderful condition all the time, and you can see the local pride.

I can’t say anything bad, but if I had to knit pick, the range could be a bit better and the menu could have more options. But hey, you don’t go here for those things!

Just a heads up on two other things: a) it can be a bit of a hike to walk if that’s your thing, and b) it’s an 18-hole experience as the course doesn’t wrap back near the clubhouse after nine holes.

It was great. Lots of hills and scenic views. My only negative was i I had accidently double booked so I was charged for 3 rounds and I played solo. Any chance of a refund?

Course in great shape even with recent rains. I'll be back!

This is my favorite course in the area! There are other nice courses but this one is best. This course will challenge every aspect of your game in a beautiful setting surrounded by very nice people (both staff and guests). Give this course a try and you will not be disappointed!
