Rivermoor Golf Club
About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Challenging Economical Course
Course was in great shape; greens are fast but smooth-very well maintained. Front nine plays longer but fair; really enjoyed our round
This course has nice greens & Fairways
Rivermoor is a great course for the value. Greens are in nice shape and the fairways are well groomed. I wish the rough was maybe an inch shorter, because it made it difficult to find a wayward Tee shot. Also I wish the Pace of Play were better. There tends to be (more times than not) a back up of golfers and the rangers don't push them to play quicker. I would like to add that the staff is very nice and friendly. Easy to talk to!
Great condition; great deal!
I've played Rivermoor a dozen times, at least. Not sure the course has ever been in such good condition! The weather was perfect, and pace of play was under 4 hours, so that helped. But, greens and fairways are superb. Surprised more people weren't playing. Disappointed with the lack of people in the clubhouse...otherwise, a great day of golf.
Good course if you can get it cheap
Was a solo player and wanted to work on my game a little but the club paired me with another 3 and I didn't want to slow them down from my pace of play and hitting multiple balls. Thankfully the 3 left at the break and played a hole or two by myself an then got log jammed. I then ran into an old couple that have been golfing there for over 25 years, and they were great. Very friendly and had a great time playing with them and hope to run into them again.
Nice course
I am an ametuer player so the course was a good challange for me with tighter fairways, water hazards, and sand traps. It was well maintained and good placement of facilities on the course.
WTF
Just wanted to play a 9 hole round on a summer evening....tee off about 6:30...by time I got to third hole , sprinklers fully engaged on tee boxes and some fairways....its summer!...light outside until 9 PM...why would you start course maintenance so friggen early...what is going on...do you have to tee off by 5 in order to get all nine in????...and why didn't pro shop warn me that this was probable....never again....too many other nice courses in area that cater to golfers who like to tee off after work..avoid this course after 5..or bring a rain slicker!!!!!
Course and facilities in great shape for this late in season.
Pro shop staff friendly as usual and remembered we had been there the week before.
Fun and challenging course
This course requires good tee shots on most holes to score well. Even right down to not only placement in the fairway, but which side of the fairway often matters for your approach shots. Many of the greens are very small and require good course managment. I thought the greens were very well kept and true. Many situations require very good reads to make a good putt because they are fast as well.
I like this course and rate it above many in the area.
excellent staff and course is excellent
the staff is very friendly. the course is golfer friendly with a wide variety holes that are challenging yet fun to play. they have keep the course in excellent condition. the club house servers very good food with a good variety. the golf pro answered all my questions that i had. the price is very reasonable for 18 holes of golf with a cart. i am looking forward to playing this course again in the near future and i will tell people about this course
Fairways were in great shape, considering the drought.
Always a nice place to play. Staff is friendly and the course was in nice shape. Good value.
Nice original design with good greens but now too many trees
Selected tree trimming badly needed to restore playability. Deceptively difficult course with long par 3s and most par 4s over 400 yards often uphill with small greens.
Good Ladies Course
Golf course is a good course for women...a challenge, but not real hard. Golf course took a beating with all the hot/dry weather this summer. Maintenance was kept up and should be better next season. Lots of roll.
