Rivermoor Golf Club
About
Originally opened in 1929 as the Waterford Woods Golf Course, the club reemerged in 2008 as the Rivermoor Golf Club. Along with its new name, the club also revealed improvements to the playability and condition of the 18-hole course. The design of the golf course was largely determined by the scenic topography, which is covered with mature trees and dotted with ponds. There are also a few streams that meander across the landscape. Rivermoor Golf Club is a proud member of the Audubon Sanctuary System. Beyond providing a secluded setting and great scenery, the terrain also makes for a challenging round. The trees frame most of the holes and water hazards come into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Good shape
I like to lay out. The only attention they need to make is for the tea boxes. Greens ran true. Nice course go play
Raining. No problem.
Played course during 2-day rainfall. Still played awesome.
Not the best experience
4.5 hours for 16 holes, left early to make a dinner reservation. Tree lined fairways and a lot of shots forcing you to play a fade both off the tee and in some fairways due to overhanging branches. Does not bode well for the average to below average golfer which attributed to the long waits on the tees and following approach shots. Didn’t see a beverage cart until 2 hours into the round at the 6th Hole after we were told that they were out and about on a warm day. On the 16th Hole…the foursome directly in front of us was out of the blue joined by what I assume was a course maintenance worker that they knew since he arrived in a maintenance cart and proceeded to play the Par 3 with them as a group of 5. Took them nearly 15 minutes to finish up the hole and at that point it was time to call it a day. I paid a discount through Golf Pass/Golf Now to play this course, otherwise I probably would not have chosen this course especially on a weekend let alone a Father’s Day weekend.
Well maintained and friendly staff.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first time at Rivermoor. The staff was friendly and the course was in great shape. I will absolutely be back. It was a great value, and worth the drive for me!
Great Day except for a little...
Slow play.
Had a blast at Rivermoor except the group in front of us was getting stoned and unaware of golf courtesy guidelines. Finally, just jumped around then and came back to play the 9th later.
Still a fun round!
Tight with the tree lines, but course conditions were great the fairways and greens.
Great Time at Rivermoor!
First round of the Season at Rivermoor and had a blast. Slow play of inconsiderate players was the only factor keeping things below an overall 5 Star rating today.
Course conditions really impact playability
Nice layout, great staff, and bar/ restaurant. The course itself is a bit of a dog track. Greens are far below average, not rolled or trimmed, fuzzy, slow, patchy, damaged, and lead to bumpy non true rolls. Tee boxes have not been seeded or repaired in ages and some are uneven. Fairways are ok. For $20-25 its a decent (3/5 star) value course but for the 40+ mark there are far better courses to play and id say (2/5 star at that price). Carts are old but fine. Sand traps are rock hard virtually unplayable have not been raked all season it appears. Also played an afternoon round and random high school team groups just jumped in ahead of my on multiple holes mid round.
Rivermoor
I enjoy playing Rivermoor. Tight fairways and small greens are always a fun challenge.
Worth the ride
Was a nice day Saturday so we decided to go golfing. Rivermoore was a bit far about a 40 minute drive, butfor the price, the condition of the course, and the friendly staff there it was worth the ride.
