Golden Oaks Golf Club

First time playing this course today and was extremely impressed. This is a great course and an even better value. Staff was really helpful and respectful, course conditions were very good and the course itself is a nice mix of open tee shots and nice par 3s over water. Highly recommend.

Conditions are great. A few dead spots but that’s unavoidable at this point in the summer. Course is beautiful, greens are challenging. I’m from the area but spend a good bit of the last 15 years in Southern California and elsewhere playing. Whith the exception of somewhere like a pebble beach or torrey pines, this place has the best conditions I’ve played in the last 2-3 years. Would absolutely recommend and for ~$50 you really cannot beat it.

Loved this course but there were a few things around that took 1 star off. a few greens had some bad spots on them and 1 had a really bad spot. wouldn't be such an issue but they put the pin in some of these spots when the green on the other side was fine. Pace was pretty slow but not horrendous. this course gives you 1 range token if you get a regular round but if you get a hot deal they do not include this, just heads up if you like to warm up before the round. also no chipping area just a putting green.

Not sure what’s happened but they aren’t maintaining the course, burnt spots on greens and fairways, weeds everywhere, not bad for a hot deal but regular price is a no go

While there are probably over 100 golf courses closer to me that I can play on it is always worth the 50 minute trip to play at Golden Oaks. The staff is top notch! The course is sooo beautiful and challenging. The greens are in perfect shape and give as "true" a roll as anywhere. Will be back again within a few weeks.

Starts with a beautiful driveway to drop your bag in front of an incredible clubhouse. After parking we were there an hour early and went into the proshop and was welcomed by the staff.. Got our complimentary small bucket of balls to hit at their grass driving range. Had a tee time for two and got paired with two very nice guys. Pace of play was just under 4 hours and that’s with about 10 women in the groups ahead of us.

Now for the course. Tee boxes are in incredible shape, fairways, plush and soft, the first cut of rough was in perfect shape with workers out all day that I could see and never were a problem. The greens rolled true and were impeccable. The only knock on the course was the sand traps they could actually use some sand in them. I felt they were a little hard pan and to be totally honest they were groomed very nicely. The course is very scenic and challenges you on almost every hole.

Lunch after the round was very reasonably priced and their Chicken salad is other worldly. A perfect ending to a great round of golf on a beautiful course. The cost of the round plus the hour and a half to drive there was well worth my time and money. This course will definitely go into my fall rotation as I could only imagine what this course would look like during the change of season!

amazing course, great layout, little burnt out as of 6/24 but overall beautiful course. Check the wind before you go!!!
