Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. is considered one of Berks County's finest courses with a four-star rating from Golf Digest, which also named it as one of the top "Places to Play." It was voted the "Best Public Course" by readers of Berks County Magazine. Designed by local architect Jim Blaukovitch, the golf course has a classic design that appeals to players of all skill levels. The course has wide, inviting fairways but there are also some challenges provided by the rolling terrain, featuring elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Be prepared for a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. Trees line Golden Oaks Golf Club's fairways and strategically placed bunkers protect the greensides. The golf course has some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Great Track!
The morning I played was the first dry day in a week. So, the course was understandably soggy. The fairways were sloppy but the greens were in great shape. Held approach shots well but still rolled faster than average for the area. Layout is fantastic and overall conditions were above average even with the moisture. Great track!
Still a fan, but....
Golden Oaks remains one of my favorite courses in the area, however I think that the course has deteriorated a bit from its normal pristine condition. In particular the bunkers are very hard and lacking much sand. The bunker near hole 4 has been under repair for a couple of years now. We happened to play on a day when the greens had been recently aerated which I understand is necessary but I wish courses would disclose that prior to booking. Having said all of this, the course is still a lot of fun to play.
Course layout and features
I thought the course overall was excellent. The fairways and greens are kept in great shape. I will definitely play here again!
Unprofessional staff
Our group was on pace to finish 18 holes in 4 hours and the starter came out to demand us to play faster. Felt rushed the entire day due to a group hitting into us. The was extremely unprofessional and ruined our round.

What happened
Have not played here in 2 years. It was always one of my favorite courses as conditions were exceptional. The front bunker on hole 4 is over grown, decorative areas are all weeds, and the rough is full of clover. The greens were slow. Not what I remember.
I know the area has received an abundance of rain recently and I hope the course goes back to what it once was
