DeBary Golf & Country Club
About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

One can never go wrong when playing at DeBary Plantation
Never disappointed
Always pleased with this course, they re did the greens about a year ago and have really maintained the condition, always enjoy playing there and I know you will too.
good value
nice course with a few challenging holes and greens. course conditions and greens were above average compared to nearby competitive courses.
DeBary Golf
Course is in good winter shape. The greens are very nice and fast. The fairway grass is tight. Remember to fill your divots.
Great course for a challenge & Great Value.
Always enjoy playing this course. Good Challenge but very fair with generous options to hit your shots.
Very slow pace of play
We were booked as a twosome, but when we arrived at our tee time, either the other two in our supposed foresome got put out early or never showed. they then stuck us between two foursomes as a twosome and it was a nightmare as for slow play. we I knew it would be slow but signs saying pace-of-play 4 hours, we got done in just over 5 hours and 15 minutes. If pace-of-play would have been normal a foursome probably would finish in four and a half. It's a long drive to get there for me as I live south but it's still worth the drive we just hit a slow day
Not a bad local course
The greens were rolling fast and true. The fairways were sparse, looks like they need to be reseeded. Overall in decent condition. need to keep the ball on the playing area. Balls hit out of bounds will be lost. Good test of golfing skills. Not a bad course to keep in the rotation.
Dusty's Take
Excellent course, busy on this day a Friday but pace of play was good. The only negative for the day was the pin locations, too many were in impossible locations that prevented you to score well.
Unfortunately not in great condition
I normally really like this course. However it does not drain well so there are muddy places a week after rain. The greens that they re did several years ago are now full of patched repairs.
lots of feature
Always in good shape, this is a nice design with elevation changes. Part of my regular rotation of courses, worth the 35 minute drive from east Orlando.
Where's the Marshall, the waitress?
The DeBary course this day was very slow paced. I don't know why but we waited at every shot. The foursome ahead of us waited too. We didn't see anyone tracking the pace of play. Some of the greens have big patches where the grass was replaced. We waited 20 minutes to place our lunch order because the restaurant had only one waitress. In the end, a round of golf plus lunch in the restaurant was 6+ hours. The lunch, I ordered a hamburger, was very delicious.
Nothing special....
I was interested in seeing if the course was as good as the members' reviews suggested. What a disappointment. I'm not a super player but the game is a lot easier when you actually have GRASS on the fairways. Tee boxes need some work but hanging in there. Greens were OK but lightening fast with very tough pin placements. I felt more than half were simply unfair to the average player. Apparently the course was set up for a member-member that was being played the next day. The Scottish design has some nice features and some reachable holes.
worth the money
a very challenging ,had some bed spots on the green , hilly green and blind fairway great cousre
