Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

What is wrong with you people
If you don’t come and play Deltona, you’re a complete fool. You practically have the whole golf course to yourself and the course is better every single time I come and play the greens are in very nice condition..
Don’t book online
I booked a 5pm tee time on line with the golf now app because I was working close to this course. I left my house 4 hours early to go play a round of golf before my shift started and when I arrived they were licking the pro shop door. I arrived at 4:45. I was told they were closed and I could not play after I had already paid online through the app. The guy told me it wasn’t his problem and to contact golf now to get my money back. Needless to say I will never try and play here again
Aeriated last week
Greens were recently aerated (nothing on GolfNow or clubs web site and no discount off of regular price for conditions). Greens were slow and fairways need grass. Bunkers not maintained. Layout is great. Typically I play because you can always find grass in the fairway - somewhere. The good greens makes up for that deficiency. Not until greens improve so no value to playing the course without a discount for maintenance conditions.
Always an extremely slow group holding everyone
Course conditions need work, especially the fairways. Greens are decent, staff is generally friendly. Layout is okay, although some holes are close to each other and there’s an unusual amount of 30 handicappers at this course so you really need to watch all around you on some holes. There’s just always SOME group holding everyone behind them hostage. Literally a group of 5 waiting on a group of 2 in front of them that’s waiting on a group of 3 in front of them. That’s how slow it gets, that even a group of 5 is having to wait. Also, are groups of 5 or more a regular thing at this course?
Getting better
The tea boxes in the fairways definitely need work, but they have the greens looking really good. And as always, the staff at Deltona are the friendliest and most accommodating.
Not as Good
Greens were pretty good. Fairways and tee boxes need work.
A lot of weeds. Needs help
Greens were good but extremely slow. Some fairway grass but a lot of weeds.
The greens are in good shape but very very slow. A lot of weeds everywhere. It needs water and maintenance. Course needs help
Golf
Great course, great staff. I always enjoy playing at Deltona. Dave meets you at the truck with a cart and Brandon is always friendly at the check in. The greens are in great shape, a little sand on the fairway but that did not change my game. Looking forward to my next round there.
Same old deltona
If you know deltona club you know deltona club. Been a few years since i’ve been back and story is the same.
Tee boxes 7/10
Green 7/10
fairways 1/10
Rough 2/10
Layout great, conditions just ok
Must’ve been a gem in its heyday. Layout is amazing some really cool rolling hills and trees all over. Condition is somewhere between hanging on and getting there. Fairways were mediocre at this in Greensboro just slightly better. However, the design was really great and made for some interesting shots. If they can get it cleaned up, it will be great.
Getting Better
The course has improved somewhat. Still needs some work. Greens are pretty good.
save your money
It's been several years since I've played here because the course was in rough shape. It has gotten worse. While many courses in the area have bounced back from a very dry winter, this one has not. The only positive comment I can make is that the greens are in decent shape. Other than that, your'e playing in a giant sand box. Save your money!
