Victoria Hills Golf Club located in Deland has jaw-dropping beauty. Golfers will appreciate Roland Garl's vigorous bunkering, which oscillates between the expansive and the intricate, depending on the hole. An array of pot bunkers, waste bunkers, native wetlands, water sprays, bunkers integrated within a natural setting, and elevation changes rarely seen on a Florida golf course await you. Garl's course is graceful and feminine

Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Golf Now won’t give you rain check

Course is in the usual goat track condition posting this review as a warning to anyone who uses GolfNow to book if weather turns bad, which I did for us on this round on the second pole, you have no way of getting a rain check proceed with caution.

The course is trying and conditions seem to be improving. Golfers are not helping. They do not fill divots, fix ball marks and drive the carts where ever they want. I saw carts beyond the ropes, driving next to greens and other areas they were not supposed to be in. Golfers complain but do not do their part to help the course heal. Go to the range any day and there will be several people hitting balls outside of the mark area. The other areas of the range cannot recover if it is not given time.

Greens were great,

tees and fairways were in sad shape. We played preferred lies and the round was good.

No way to play them down.

Good golf track

Victoria Hills certainly had its heyday back when Troon managed it. Challenging course but some fairways barely had any grass on them. They charge accordingly. Great holes but just ok shape.

Terrible

Course is in terrible shape. Driving range is just sand. People in pro shop are very rude. No grass in the fairways to hit off of. Tee boxes were dirt or sand. Greens were okay. Not worth $45 from the hot deal and definitely would never pay full price to play here.

Needs investment

An excellent layout with challenging holes however the course requires considerable investment to recover fairways which are sparse with patchy grass areas. Lots of fairway bunkers.
