DeBary Golf & Country Club
About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Fallen tree while we were on green. Photo submitted by tbusfbulls10 on 04/21/2013
Course conditions were not up to par!
Tees and greens were in pretty good shape but fairways were pretty much bare of grass.
Beautiful course! Mostly par 4’s
Really enjoyed the long and very wide fairways. Not many hazards and yet challenging. Would definitely play again.
Very good layout, tee boxes & greens
A winter snowbird, I play this course once or twice a year - even though it is a 40 mile drive each way.
Nice course, and very good value on the Hot Deals
Tight lies!
I've played here a few time and have always enjoyed it. Good tract and moderately challenging. Add to this the value thru Golf Now and it's a heck of a deal. Only issue, and it's because of the time of year and recent weather, is that ya better be prepared for a bunch of 'tight lies'. If you tend to hit em 'thin', you may be in trouble.
nice layout
I drive 40 minutes from Orlando to play this course every 6-8 weeks. Course design has much feature, nice greens with well placed bunkers- found too many of them that day. Some waiting, busy day.
Very slow Play , no starter, no range officer, nice course. Great cart girls and snack bar staff!!
Too dry & hard
Excellent layout and we have enjoyed this course in the past, but it's current extremely dry fairways make too difficult to play. It wasn't much fun. The greens were fast and true - highlight of the course. I wouldn't recommend this course at this time, but do like the layout and will return when conditions are better.
Not in the greatest shape
Greens are great - smooth and very fast. Fairways are beat up, no winter rye, very thin and dry. Lots of tight lies. To bad - love the layout.
A good layout, but sub- par conditions
The greens are in better shape than last year, but lack consistency. Fairways need more attention, sand traps in fair shape, tees could use more attention.
Although the fairways were quite dry and brown, tee boxes and greens were fine. Enjoyed a fun round of golf at a very good GolfNow price
Elevation Changes Galore!!!!
Great course with lots of elevation changes which makes you think about your shot selection. Met a couple of great fellas and the pace of play was fantastic.
Staff and clubhouse facilities were really good from the car park bag drop.
I will be back to play this course hopefully not after a heavy frost.
Great Course Scalera not so much
First off kudos to pro shop, cart, halfway house and beverage cart staff, outstanding. Course conditions would have been 5 star if not for the firm greens, to be expected for fairly new greens I suppose. Problem was the pace of play was pathetic and never saw a course ranger. Also almost had a fight with a belligerent member two groups behind us who decided that he would come charging up at us demanding we speed up. Only issue was there was no where to go. Tried to explain it to him but he was convinced us non members were the problem. After the round when I inquired who that was being belligerent several staff members had the same reaction, oh that had to be Joe, he's known for that around here. If he is known for that around here why does management put up with it. Not a good light to shine for potential future members.

Bon service... Beau layout...Très différents d'un trou à l'autre...
Bon degré de difficulté pour tous les calibres de joueurs...
Manque un peu de gazon dans les allées en cette période de l'année...
Je le recommande fortement, rapport qualité/prix excellent.

The course is very dry
We were expecting dry course conditions. No concerns there. Our concern was the 2 groups of 3some ahead of us combined and played a couple of holes together and slowed the pace down considerably. I called the Club house and complained. The guy showed up and said to us these guys are members and we don’t mind if they play together. His opinion was by them combining the two teetimes into one and since they keeping pace with the 4some ahead of them it should not affect us which did not make any sense. They did split on hole 10. At the end of the day it took us 4.45 to finish the round. We caught up to the 3some ahead of us on the 3rd hole but no courtesy to let us play through(we played 2some) So non-members, beware. The club members can play 8some ahead of you and that’s ok with the management. There is nothing you can do except walk away..Very frustrating round of golf.
Cold and sunny
Got a late start because of frost. They got a large number of golfers off in a shotgun type start because of the frost and back up. All went well Only had to wait on a couple of holes. The sun felt good even though it was a cold day. The staff did a good job to get every body off because of the delay. That made it enjoyable.
Course in good shape. Fast greens.
Friend and I teamed with a young couple. Had a great time.
Enjoy DeBary
I really enjoy playing DeBary...nice people and a pretty golf course with plenty of challenging (yet fair) holes.
