Ledges Golf Club
About
The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley is tucked away in the Pioneer Valley, an area of western Massachusetts known for its lush, rolling hills. It is a favorite amongst locals since it is one of the best values in the region. The course enjoys scenic views that stretch to Mt. Tom and the Holyoke Range. It is on the shorter side at just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, but the dramatic changes in elevation make it seem much longer. Most of the greens are raised with steeply sloped sides, making accuracy essential since missing them by even just a few feet will result in a serious penalty. The golf course has a heavily wooded front nine that seamlessly transitions into a more open back nine featuring links-style holes. The Ledges is a shotmaker's course that offers several interesting risk-reward opportunities.

Ledges Number Four, Par 4, 276. The fairway is narrow, with precious little bail-out to its right. A driveable hole for the bold. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

# Nine, Par 5, 528. These bunkers will snare many an approach shot that is sliced or pushed. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

The 10th is a classic downhill par-5 of 564; it’s a three-shotter for all but very long, straight hitters. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

The massive bunker that sides green eleven could be a nightmare for those who aren’t all that handy with a sand wedge. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

Eighteen (from the left rough): Great finisher where you’ll want to avoid every one of the seven fairway bunkers, including these three. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

The final hole as seen from its right rough. Getting up and down around this green is no simple task. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

Excellent Track
I have played Ledges a number of times and always enjoy it. The course is not long, at least from the whites or blues, but all the holes are interesting and challenging. The course is mostly surrounded by woods so there are no distractions or noise. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
Good Course
The Ledges is a good course. Always in great shape. Played after 3 days of rain so a little damp but in good shape.
Worth the ride
Looking for a new course. About 1 hr from Worcester area and well worth the trip. Course was in great shape. Beautiful views. Great variety of holes. Couple of short par 4's with high risk/reward. Very true rolling greens. And the people working the course were outstanding. When I told the starter it was my first time, he went to the club house for a yardage book and explained the layout. EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. Great first experience , much do to the course staff. Can't wait to go back. Fall views with mountains must be spectacular.
Great views and some holes that will test your golf abilities
fairways and tee boxes were immaculate. the greens were recovering from being punched but they were still playable. This is one of the better public courses in western mass for the money.
Great
Great course for the value. Lots of straight course so if you slice the ball to the right it could b a long day.
For end of April, course is in very good shape.
We know from previous play that this is a beautiful course. Fairways already looking great, as are greens. Golf carts could use a more frequent washing though.
This course challenges every skill level player.
From the time you enter the long driveway you get a feeling your in for a special day. The 15th on is on your right and you think drive able par 4 good luck. The fairways might just be the best you play all year. The perfect greens are well trapped . The pin placements are numerous. The putting surfaces fast and pure. Every single hole is different . You will come back .
Really requires cart. Long distances between T-boxes.
Good mixture of holes...some reachable par 5s for longer hitters. Excellent greens/fairways. If you can keep it in play, you'll score.
Very nice course, a good challenge
The 'slide bars' above did not work for me so: pace of play was about 3.5 hrs though it was a friday in november so course was not crowded. Pretty challenging course that rewards accuracy over distance. For the time of year, it was in great shape. Tee boxes need a break but fairways and greens were nice. Staff was very nice. If you have a smartphone, they have a GPS app on their website with distance to bunkers, water, hazards etc. I wish they had mentioned that when we checked in. We didn't find out until our round was over. Kitchen had limited stock, but to be expected in Nov. But a couple of Sam adams Octoberfest and a cheeseburger club set me back $20 with tax and tip -- perfectly reasonable. Will definately be back.
Great deal!
I played this course few times in recent years and it always in nice condition. There are some interesting par 4. The greens are always in great condition. This golf course is one of my favorite in New England where I played over fifty golf courses.
Extremely well manicured, short course with nice greens
Played in the rain, so course and greens were very soft. From white tees many holes are very short, but the course was beautifully maintained and greens were excellent. Cannot rate pace of play since there were very few golfers out on this rainy day. Staff very friendly and carts were of high quality.
The course was both fair and challenging.
The course was both fair and challenging. Greens were in great shape. Overall a good golfing expreience which I will play again in the future.

Interesting course, great setting
This is a good course. I play here at least once a week in the summer. Great layout with some challenging holes. It is more of a golfer courses. You need to hit greens to score well.
