Pace of play and no Marshall or staff enforcing regulations
This is my 3rd time playing here at Los amigos! The layout is amazing and the course is beautiful. This is the 2nd time i am unable to finish the course due to pace of play. There seems to be a trend on the weekends that there is groups of 6 with a “spectator” riding along. It literally rooms us 2 hours for 3 holes! There needs to be some sort of pace enforcement or staff checking the groups. I hope this improves because i really love this course!
Fun place to play
Overall, it's a good course. It has some challenges. Some parts of the course needs some attention but overall, I would play here again and bring friends.
Needs TLC
Been playing Los Amigos for years. As with many other courses, green fees have gone up. However, for Los Amigos, I feel the green fees are a tad high for the conditions of the course. Lots of bare spots on fairway and greens are very bumpy. Tee time was 12:08 and we trrr off at 12:25. Pace was so slow! We waited on every hole and when the sun started setting some groups were leaving and we still had to wait. We ended up playing only 15 holes for 5 hours...
It is still a convenient course to book. I just wish it was in better shape for the money paid.
Long waits
Waited 40 mins to tee off after our tee time. All tee boxes had a 20 minute wait time in between holes. Pace of play was horrible with 5 minute intervals. Will not come back.
Course is great
The course was good , but slow and didn't finish the all 18 holes.
Poorly Managed Course with Disappointing Conditions
Tee times were crammed in only 7 minutes apart, and they allowed fivesomes, which just led to a huge backup. When we got to the first tee, there were already five groups waiting, and we started 30 minutes late. Staff said it was a scheduling issue with GolfNow?? The greens were also bumpy and slow. Not planning to come back anytime soon.
Not worth a 6hr round
5 per group all the time. For one of the shorter courses in the area, there’s no reason to be playing 5.5-6hr rounds here. There is no pace of play kept and for $70 I expect more.
Muni Golf
Great location n layout..poor conditions..brown fairways n terribly pitted n bumpy greens...pace of play slow due to all the walkers playing tees they have no business playing from...
DO NOT PLAY
Been golfing at Los Amigos for over 15 years. After covid the field conditions have drastically gotten worse. Also the prices have inteased tremendously within that same time frame. Last 3 round of golf it took us over 6 hours to finish. Will definitely be looking for other courses. Probably wont return anytime soon. So If you like a 6 hour pace and paying almost $70 for a round of golf with dried up fairways and and beat up greens Los Amigos is the course for yo
This is not how to run a golf course
Played there for the first time on 10/12. No manager on a saturday. Marshall took off mid day when its a weekend. Tee time pushed back 4 groups. Finished the front nine in 3:20. Terrible pace of play and nobody to do anything about it.
SCGA Junior discount.
I have bee booking on GOLFNOW for a while. When I got to the course they did not honor my daughter’s SCGA Junior discount. Because of this I will no longer use this app to book tee times for us. I payed for her membership to save money. That was my only concern.
5-SOME nightmare
Wow, what a day. Love the course, but the pace of play is just too much to handle. 5some's after 5some's going out makes it for a very long day! Took nearly 6 hours to play a short course that should take 4ish. My friends and I have decided to remove it out of our rotation.
Terrible experience
No starter, no course management, send out 4 or 5 domes every 7 minutes. What is the expected outcome….terribly slow golf. 5 1/2 hrs
We haven’t played there in a while and now we remember why.
Stay away!!!
