Do not play this course
Took over an hour to play 2 holes
Left on the third hole waiting for 3 different groups
Will not be going back to this course
Great course for the price
As long as you get there early, you will be fine. Tee time was 735am and we didn’t get off until 750 or so.. lots of folks walk so it will tend to be a lil slow at times. If you grab a later tee time, there will be a back up for sure. By the time we were coming around on 7-8-9, the back up on hole 1 was about 4-5 groups deep just sitting and waiting Typically once you get past hole 2-3, the back up clears. Greens are always fun and challenging, bunkers were actually in good conditions and real sand not rocks. A cart girl would be great to have on the course, and maybe that small snack bar open BUt other than that always a fun time on this course.
Be ready to wait
Original tee time was for 1:04pm, didn't tee off until 2:40pm. Took 4 hours to play 9 holes, left after the 9th because we ran out of sun light.
Poor course management and pace of play
5+ hours to finish.. started at least 30min late due to 3 groups backed up waiting. No marshals, when multiple people called in about a slow group of FIVE Koreans, no clue on playing ready-golf or even just regular non-slow golf. Conditions were just ok at best. Tee boxes pretty bad. Greens were ok. For $68 there are a lot better options out there. Even after several people quit, still way too slow play. 6 of us all tees off together and finished the last 2 holes in the dark. Thankful for LED balls.
Fair
Course condition is fair to good. While the playing pace remains slow as I have experienced before, well the same 'ol Los Amigos Golf. Guess I shall be back playing here sometime in the future, well you have to expect it takes five hours plus to finish 18 holes though.
Poor management
Packem in
No starter, terribly chaotic at start with 7 groups lined up.
No course management, 5 somes, all adds up to a 51/2 hr round.
I know they want to get as many golfers out as possible but they forget about the golfers experience on the course.
Rates
Kinda nasty to have a tee time that’s one minute before twilight, get charged the full rate and it’s too crowded to finish.
DO NOT GO ON WEEKENDS!
The pace of play was atrocious. A group of 4 had the audacity to tee off from the blues and not a single person could hit past the ladies tee. These guys held up 4 groups at hole 2 because of their horrendous play.
There are no Marshalls or starters to keep the game in check. Our tee off time was 11:05 and we tee’d off at 11:30. We ended up leaving, they gave us a voucher to play again on another day.
I’ve played during the week, it’s way better. For a Muni, it’s a good course. It could use a little love though.
So as stated, do not play on weekends there. You’re looking at 6 1/2 hours!
Mr
Nice course 👍 Some holes in repair make
Golf Games less interesting !
Pace of play and no Marshall or staff enforcing regulations
This is my 3rd time playing here at Los amigos! The layout is amazing and the course is beautiful. This is the 2nd time i am unable to finish the course due to pace of play. There seems to be a trend on the weekends that there is groups of 6 with a “spectator” riding along. It literally rooms us 2 hours for 3 holes! There needs to be some sort of pace enforcement or staff checking the groups. I hope this improves because i really love this course!
