Rough conditions
You’re almost better playing out of the rough as the fairways are concrete. It’s definitely early in the season but the conditions were pretty tough. Greens definitely need some rolling. Outside of that.. the course is super interesting in terms of you could shoot 70-100 on any given day. Course layout is semi all over the place which I think makes the pace slow.
Course has a lot of potential, but is in terrible shape.
A lot of maintenance going on and tee times are packed in together so there are constantly groups being on top of each other. There was not a single sand bunker on the entire course and it is a very hilly course, so if you do not hit the green you are in big trouble. The greens were in decent shape.
Good course. Great value.
Just north of the city and a great value for the money. Staff are super friendly. Pace of play was rough at times but to be expected n a weekend.
Good layout, bad shape
Greens recently aerated and lots of grass less dirt patches. The layout is cool. When and if they get it in shape it will be fun.
Good course will be even better when grass is not o brown
Golf Now is Wrong
Yardage for this course is incorrect. It appears they mad multiple changes to the course and it is much shorter than what was listed. Super hilly with multiple blind shots throughout which slowed the pace of play. Unfortunately was cart path only due to bad conditions which compounded the pace problem.
Improving
Fairways we're decent. Greens were long and soft but lush and green. 1 hole closed and 1 green closed. But with a discount I paid $11. It was worth every bit of $30 even in it's condition. Would appreciate members to not bounce in front of you then not keep up pace. Also got behind 2 that could only hit it 100 yards and never straight but playing from the tips and taking 5-7 minutes liking for their shots in the trees EVERY time without letting us play through. I have no problem with people playing that aren't great because it grows the game. But please learn a little etiquette. Let people play through when they are standing by their ball ready to hit whole you're looking in the trees only to never find it, drop, and shank it. The course is in key good shape, the staff is courteous, but members and casual golfers take away from the experience when they don't respect other players behind them.
Decent
Got a mid week round in for $23. Great price. Course is under construction so it’ll hopefully be better next time I play it. Greens and fairways are in good condition for the year. I like the course, but the amount of hills make for a hard time tracking your ball on a few holes.
Oak Hill Golf Course
In the summertime it may be a very pretty golf course, in the fall there's a lot of leaves. pretty rough
Course along the tree line. could use a lot of maintenance. two par threes on the back nine were really a challenge. overall it's a challenging Golf Course
