The Legends at Orange Lake Resort
About
Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee boasts four different golf courses, two championship courses and two nine-hole layouts. Undoubtedly, the most popular course is the Legends. This Arnold Palmer-designed layout is like getting two courses in one. The front nine is a traditional links that is wide-open and windy, which makes club selection particularly challenging. It is a good warm-up for the even more demanding back nine. On the backside, you will be playing through mature oaks and towering pine trees that border the lush, winding fairways. It is quite a feat to successfully maneuver your tee shots through the narrow openings of the trees, which gives it the feel of a course in North Carolina. The signature hole is the 13th. This daunting hole features a large green that is shielded by a rock wall, surrounded by tall grass, and protected in back by a sand trap.

superb
course difficulty depends on what tee you play but a great course
super course
This was the cheapest round of golf during my FL golf break in November 2014, and by far and away the best. Really nice layout some challenging holes, and difficult greens, buggies are a must as there is quite some distance between some of the holes, only minor gripe was that the cart GPS was a bit hit and miss, played with two really nice Canadian fella's (father and son)
Conditions Better Than Previous Years
Play this course every year in Nov and have seen go from great conditions 5 years ago and then decline to just OK. This year we experienced much improved fairways conditions and the greens were in better shape, hopefully this will continue. Overall, the course has a great layout with water and large waste areas to contend with, which challenges all your golf skills.
Course nice, but pace of play was not good.
This course was in good condition and a fun course to play, but the pace of play was terrible. We teed off at 3:15, but only got 12 holes in before dark at 5:45. I was hoping for at least 16 holes. Other then that, no complaints.
Challenging and fun holes
Very good course .
Staff were awesome.
Starters , (Nick) Pro shop (Matt)
and Nelson all went overboard to make this a fun 18 holes.
Great course to play, the back nine are more challenging
It was a challenging course but worth the price. The course was in great condition. The greens are very fast and take some time to get used to.
It was a good deal...
Although the course had a fair amount of water & sand, overall I thought it was pretty forgiving and wide open. I thought it was a good deal through golfnow.com, but would probably view it as slightly overpriced if I hadn't had the deal. There were two of us, and we ended up voluntarily pairing with another twosome on the first hole. By the back nine we were waiting on every hole. I'm sure that was due in part to it being a Sunday. We had a good time - which is really what playing golf is all about.
enjoyed it!
Nice layout. Played as a 2-some and two 4-somes let us play thru so pace was outstsnding!

enjoy playing this course .The course was a little off its usual condition from my past visits. I hope to return and see the course in it usually great shape . Play was fairly slow.
Friendly
Course was female friendly. Greens were relatively slow and bumpy. Some holes had a choice to layup or go for it.
Nice course - consistent greens
Nice course with consistent greens, including some slippery downhill puts.
Front 9 a bit easier than back - even with 3 of the par 5s on the front
Tough but Playable
Course conditions are the best I have seen over the last five years or so of playing here. The greens were of average speed, but easy to 3 jack if not careful. Pin positions were decent for a resort course. Played in the early afternoon and it was like having a private golf course, with hardly anyone else playing! Well stocked proshop and decent food and beverage available. Love the GPS system on the carts. Staff attentive from the bag drop area to the proshop and back to the bag drop area when finished. Clubs were cleaned and put in vehicle for us. Beverage/snack cart out on course in spite of little play.
Bottom line, a fun course to play at GolfNow prices, but not so much at rack rates!
Great layout
First time I have played the Legends and it was a super fun layout and design. Generous fairways but solid 2nd shots required. Overall condition of greens and fairways was above average. Would recommend the course as a solid option while in the Orlando area.
Good course
Good conditions and layout with nice variation.
In my opinion much vetter than the Reserve course.
Very good course
Definitely recommend this course. Good condition and overall fun to play.
Nice Arnold Palmer course
Nice resort course. Conditions were excellent Good amount of sand and water. Will play again.
Godd course in good shape
It was a plesant day, good company and good course to play. The driving range and is good as well.
Very nice layout
Always a pleasure playing the Legends at Orange Lake
Great resort course...
Played a couple loops out there during the week, really enjoyed the course. Scored it very well, putted out of my mind...which certainly helped the scoring. Good mix of holes, lengths, looks and would love to see it at it's peak condition...but very much enjoyed the rounds.
It was surprisingly well playable after the September wet period…
I like this course very much and was a bit afraid if it would not be to wet after the rainy September. But although in some water hazards (and in some bunkers) there was more water than usually, the course was very good. Good pace of play even though it was pretty crowded.
Overall this is one of the courses to go when ever in Orlando!
