Hibiscus Golf Club

I have always enjoyed playing this course and over the last several months they have done a lot of work. While this is still a work in progress the course is very enjoyable to play and the staff and amenities are great. Highly recommend this course.

The improvements are incredible. Grassy fairways, level tee boxes, beautiful sand traps, firm and true greens

As the course just reopened on Dec 1, I thought it was very good.. Has really good holes, almost all greens are elevated, so it plays longer than yardage all day.

.Conditions were shaggy, but to b fair, they just opened. Greens rolled at maybe 6 , and fairway lengths much too long, but they’re trying to let the grass grow in, so this should have been expected.

As far as value for your $$, was sensational!

They've done a good job with the course. Unfortunately the greens are extremely slow and still quite bumpy. This makes your putter almost worthless and easy to three put the greens.

Course redone, sand traps, t-boxes, fairways, first cut of rough and greens much better but still spotty in places. The rough not redone, same old and in poor condition. Course needs to grow in, greens played 5 on the stimpmeter, very very slow. Underwhelmed by the improvements, expected more given the nice layout. It will take a while before difference in play is meaningful. In the meantime will not likely play this course anytime soon. The value is not there at this time. Good and reasonable priced restaurant and bar. Nice range Recommend these aspects. Staff are very personal and friendly.

The course was not ready to be opened fairways as till needed watering to take hold and greens same thing , they just sanded them but they need to be rolled and cut . Just hope it doesn’t get destroyed because of opening too soon and not enough grooming

2 negatives; no water cups.

Not really a critisuxm but there is so much sand in the traps, very difficult to get ball of deep sand.

The crew is great.

Staff were all very nice and helpful, however the course left much to be desired. Price to play in south Florida is consistently high just about anywhere you play, when you are paying premium fees to play I think it’s fair to expect above average course conditions. The t boxes were chopped up and the fairways were inconsistent and lacked manicuring. The greens were probably the exception as they were better in comparison to the rest of the course conditions.

Hopefully when they reopen course will be in great shape and not raise the price too much

The layout of the course was fun to play. It had some challenging water and bunker shots along with some straight away shots. Staff was friendly and on top of everything. Pace of play was perfect not too fast and not too slow. Only problem was the upkeep of the grounds. Multiple fairways and greens had massive dead patches making putting pace and lines very difficult. Also the scenic appeal was not great due to these massive dead spots. But there is good news a staff member said that starting April 1 2023 they will be shutting down to put in a new irrigation system and reseed the grounds. Hopefully this makes the problem of dead patches throughout the course nonexistent. Hopefully after this renovation the grounds upkeep and appeal with match the price.

Irrigation badly needed. Too much money for a poorly kept course.

Terrible conditions- fairways dried out, greens too

Booked a tee time that should allow ample opportunity to finish an 18-hole round well before sunset but we’re told by the check-in staff that we needed to have the carts returned by 7 PM, a full hour before daylight begins to wane. Resulted in a rushed round of golf. If the club doesn’t want carts out past a certain time, don’t accept tee times with carts that will result in exceeding that cut-off time..
