Hibiscus Golf Club is one of the few 18-hole courses in Naples that are open to the public. The course is player enough for beginners and while it may not be what you're looking for if you're in search of a formidable test, it's good for some casual practice for the more advanced player. The layout balances player-friendly, wide fairways with greens that are guarded by strategically placed bunkers. There is a series of lakes and streams throughout the golf course that come into play on nearly every hole. The golf course has seen several improvements since it first opened in 1969, especially after it was badly damaged from a hurricane. More than 200 trees were added as well as 1,200 grasses and shrubs. Hibiscus Golf Club also has a driving range and putting green.

They need training

On a wet day - no towels. Tee time was at 10:45 am, sorry, no food because "our cooks don't like cooking this early". Yes, that is exactly what I was told, LOL.

They charge $210 dollars in season, and give you ZERO service.

It took 25 minutes to get 3 hotdogs at the turn. We had to let 2 groups go through. The person working the "restaurant" was so obviously upset to be there, we were intimidated to simply ask for a coke or anything else.

It is obvious this course has no leadership in their ranks. Save your money. Plenty of other courses to play down here.

Agree with overprice. But there are TONS of options in Naples open to the public. Not sure what you mean.

Very sad it’s closing

One of our very last public courses in Naples is closing. Sad day for Naples golfers. Love the people that work at Hibiscus. I’ve played many many rounds there so thank you for all the great memories

Evil Starter

Hibiscus course is overall decent however the starter “John” is an evil evil individual and for that reason I will no longer play at Hibiscus until he is no longer employed. The guys that take care of the carts and the bags are awesome. Get rid of John.

The course wasn’t worth the lack of hospitality.

Our experience at Hibiscus was stained by a lack of hospitality from multiple staff members.

Our group was a standard foursome, with the addition of my father-in-law who simply wanted to spectate. The course would not allow a third golf cart under any circumstance. When my father-in-law explained that he had recently undergone shoulder surgery and physically could not play, he offered to walk alongside us instead. Even this required significant discussion before being reluctantly approved. Despite not riding in a cart, not playing golf, and only walking with the group, we were still required to pay a $50 “ride-along” spectator fee.

He was not golfing, not slowing play, and not interfering in any way. We completed the round in 3 hours and 42 minutes, well within a normal pace of play.

The marshal rudely approached us early in the round, immediately accusing us of having “five golfers on the course.” When it was explained that my father-in-law was spectating and hadn’t hit a single shot, he remained unnecessarily confrontational and urged us to pick up the pace.

Beyond the marshal interaction, we also found the starter and the bag attendant to be patronizing and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. The overall tone from multiple staff members made us feel scrutinized rather than welcomed as paying guests.

The idea that a non-playing spectator, recovering from surgery, is not only required to pay an absurd fee, but is also treated like a burden and a pest all day long is baffling. The lack of courtesy and common sense turned what should have been an enjoyable family round into an uncomfortable experience.

There are many golf courses that manage policy enforcement with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. We would strongly suggest choosing another course.

Played quick on a sunday

Canadian golfers down for a trip. Played other courses around, this one is nice but just slightly too expensive. Would rather play saltleaf in the afternoon for a bit more cash. Conditions are great. Greens are brand new roll really pure. The course itself was just slightly boring layout with not many unique holes. Great pace of play had the course to ourselves played in 3h15min!

Excellent Course Conditions

When I travel and use GolfNow to find golf courses to play. I played the course on Monday and was impressed with the course. (Fairways, Greens, Traps & Layout) The overall course conditions were the best that I have experienced for a fully public golf course. I played a second time on Wednesday. To me, the course plays more difficult than you may think verses the yardages alone.
