Hibiscus Golf Club

Found this course on line. For the price and the layout and conditions was a good value for this area. We definitely go back again. Also ended up at Mulligan‘s for dinner, which was also good.

Ranger Tom turned a relaxing day of golf into an unpleasant afternoon. Unless I get an apology with a comp round of golf I will never play Hibiscus again.

Used to play here a lot but since renovations and increases in green fees not at all. Greens very slow (6-7 on stint) and grainy, uneven. Should be sanded and rolled. Fairway conditions is average, lot of thin lies, bare spots and weeds. Lots of fine sand in traps. Tee boxes good, layout very interesting and could be challenging. Range of matts (Ok) but balls rock hard and only fly 70% of the distance. This is a under $100 $US value . Will play again if rates in the $50-$75 range only because I live close by. Everyone at course was very welcoming and friendly.

Greens are slow and bumpy, fairways are not great, the pace of play was OK. Not worth $200 a round.

Played as a single paired up with 3 very nice gents who also were looking to have a very good pace of play. We were first off at 7am. The fog did not lift till the 8th hole. Glad we have numerous sets of eyes to keep track of where the balls went.

Others had local knowledge of the course to share pitfalls to look out for; water & sand.

The greens were rolling a little slow but tolerable. Great day on the links with three fellow golfers who were very enjoyable.

First time playing since the renovation. Overall in much better shape. Grain on greens tough to gauge speed and line. Starter was grumpy. Ranger hassled us for being behind with no one in front or behind us for 3 hole as we let someone thru. They need to cheer up a bit for $200 a round.

Flights ahead had no idea about speeding up their game and overall golf etiquette.

Typical Florida golf with the costs less than others but still a lot for 18 holes. Par 3s were pretty long. Staff was nice. Greens were slow in the morning then fast as the sun came out. I had a nice round. As a single I was grateful to be able to ride solo as compared to a few other courses around here.

Pretty good course, cart paths in good shape, tee boxes and greens in good shape. From what I have seen tricker greens which I liked. Fair ways in ok to good shape rough is not in good shape that would be my biggest gripe besides pace of play. Staff was great!
