Gulf Shores Golf Club

Enjoyable golf course. Not much trouble in general although there is some lateral water where you can't spray it. Some water hazards are not visible from the tee, e.g. #7, so check the layout. Forced carry on the approach on #18. Course was in good condition in spite of harsh weather this summer. The greens looked a little thin and sandy but they rolled well at reasonable speed. Bunkers were well maintained with sand not too fine and thick; I was able to hit good explosion shots from them. The tee boxes on the back nine had very thin grass and were unimpressive, but that didn't bother us as the balls were teed up. I would certainly welcome another opportunity to play Gulf Shores GC.

Course was in very good shape. Interesting layout. Everyone was friendly. Had a great time.

Greens and fairways in great condition. Some tee boxes were overly worn. The bunkers were in good condition with quality sand. A little pricey but I was able to get a Hot Deal on GolfNow for under $70. Friendly staff. I would recommend this course to any level golfer.

The course was in great shape considering there has been no rain in several days. Good value for the money.

Every tee box was tore up with little areas of grass to use. Prices are nearly $100 for a course where the condition alone should make it $50 or less

I played alone, and got put behind a foursome by the starter. Took me 4 hole and an hour and half before they let me play through.

One of my favorite courses in the Gulf Shores area. I’ve been coming here and playing golf for more than 30 years. The course is nice, the people are awesome.

Staff was nice. Course had gone down since I played 3 years ago. Greens had weeds growing on it. Made it hard to putt. Fairways were very dry.

Very dry but we’ve had a very long heat wave in the area. We played at a discounted rate because of aeration.

Course fees are $100, which by the layout, and condition is ridiculous and extremely overpriced. This course is worth maybe $40 for 18. The greens were aerated, and patchy grass patches with weeds on greens. The tee boxes were in absolutely horrible condition, and clearly not taken care of. They were full of sand and barely any grass. The grass was dead around most of the greens. Fairways were dry and grass was dead. The whole time we were there we had a worker on his tractor cutting the grass on the entire back 9 in the afternoon who didn’t stop for us to take shots. Very inconsiderate. They booked us on the same day of a tournament and the starter rushed us off the course after we were told we could continue to play even though there was a 4 some in front of us who was about 30 minutes behind pace of play. So we did not even get to finish our round of golf. Very annoying, and just overall bad service from a golf course. I’m sure the tournament players were happy people had played before them on a course. I will not be returning even if they lowered there rates.

One of my favorite courses but conditions going downhill. Lots of Poa annui in greens and grass growing in bunkers.

Greens rolled true despite being recently punched. There were quite a few weeds on the greens but it didn’t change much. They were pretty good despite. Fairways were really good. Got stuck behind some very slow players. Took more than an hour to play last three holes.
