The 18-hole Gulf Shores Golf Club (formerly known as Golf Club of The Wharf) in Gulf Shores, Alabama is a public golf course that opened in 1963. Greens are always in great shape and fast
Play this course 3-5 times a month. Challenging layout with water on multiple holes. Play from the white or blues and par 3's are 150yds plus. Highly recommend

Excellent track, great layout and the condition was exceptional!
Wonderful venue
Great afternoon of golf, challenging greens, fairways and course in great shape. Staff friendly and helpful.
Good time
Nice course, really friendly staff. $100/round would be too high somewhere else but considering location it was fair. Wife & I joined by another couple teed off at 7:20am played in less than 4 hours on Memorial Day holiday! Tee boxes especially on the back nine need some work but overall pretty course and totally enjoyed playing. Bonus for us was it was close enough to RV park we rode our bikes there (carrying bags)! Would play again for sure!
Book directly through club
Don’t use golf now. Book directly with course. Golf now can suck it.
Great Round at Gulf Shores Golf Club
Everything was great from easy check-in through the friendly starter. Pace was excellent and the course is really nice. The restaurant at the turn is good too. The greens were true and the fairways are perfect. Played here many times and the staff is doing wonderful work.
Price too steep
I know they’re trying to keep up with other local courses in price, but this course just isn’t at the level of Kiva Dunes or Peninsula. Also doesn’t offer a “local rate”. Price is 89+ tax for 18 when it should be around 50-55 max. Only had about 30 rounds on the day. If they knocked down price to range above they’d get 100+ rounds a day. They’re leaving $ on the table.
Beautiful course
First time playing and will go back. Great layout. Lot of bunker play too.
Slow play
First 7 holes were great pace, but from there on we had to wait at every tee behind at least two groups. Marshalls blamed pace on multiple foursomes followed by twosomes but it didn’t seem they were doing anything to move the foursomes along.
Good round
The starter was real nice, able to play as a single in just over 2 hours. Greens were solid, course in decent shape, bunkers good
Vacation Golf
Picked this course after reading the reviews and found it to be great. We could warm up at the range and putting green and seperate chipping green. Then the day allowed for the starter to send us out early and we had a single come up behind us on number one at the right moment so we let him through and the rest of the day was all to ourselves. We couldn't ask for a better day of golf.
