The 18-hole Gulf Shores Golf Club (formerly known as Golf Club of The Wharf) in Gulf Shores, Alabama is a public golf course that opened in 1963. Very windy
First time here, enjoyed the course. Greens need to grow in a little, early springtime. Terrible wind so it is hard to judge entire round, played quite fast but I think wind kept crowd small today. would like to play again, back next year.
Always like golfing here! Wish there was an option to walk though.
Good course, good value
Good course, good value. I have been playing this course for over 10 years when I come to visit the Gulf Shores area. It keeps getting better. The course layout is great and the condition is improving over the years. It’s a good course for all skill levels, and relatively long from the back
Golf on Feb 11 my 87th birthday
Found the course to be in reasonable shape. Greens were fast and did not have good colour. Fairways were excellent for this time of the year.
No ball washers, no trash cans, players throwing
Fruit peeling on course .Greens were like matted down shag carpet. Could use more maintenance. I think over priced.
Very nice
Very nice track. It has water sand and generous fairways. Greens are good size and roll very true.
Greens were bumpy but nice speed. Love the layout. No rough to speak of. Plays longer than the yardage. Good course. The practice area has artificial tees only.
Course is fun to play
Fun day playing this course. Excellent rate thru TeeOff. Will definitely play again.
Great Municipal Course
This is a fun and challenging course. It’s in good shape for a municipal course. Offers a nice wide ranging group of holes. The greens are in great shape
Winter conditions
Nice round today very little green yet, fairways are brown. Greens had just been aerated but not plugged. Very very fast. Lots of bunkers protecting the greens
Good Layout
Course was in good condition for winter golf. Greens were fast and smooth. Fairways were thin and brown. Traps were in great condition.
Gulf Shores Golf Club review
Fairways were in good shape for this time of year (February 1). Greens had been aerated and challenging to putt. Should fill in as temperatures warm up. Overall, would recommend playing the course.
Fairway layout was great but were dry and brown. Understandable that it was the end of January but have played other area courses that the fairways were fairly green. The greens were nice but pin placements were tough as though a tournament was going on. Tough for an average golfer.
