Love this course

Ownership/management spent some serious money on re-doing this course and it shows. The layout changed, mostly for the better, some holes for the worse(not exactly a fan of starting on a long par 5, but overall, this course is definitely worth it for the price point. It has some challenging holes, has some easy ones. The staff is great, especially the cart cleaners and volunteers. You can tell they love golf and what they do.

Great beginner to intermediate course

For the money this is a great course! They recently spent some serious money on refurb’ing this place and it shows. Course was recently changed and makes a lot more sense. Very pleased with our round.

Love this course for the price. Pace of play has been great both times. Really fun layout. Scoreable but narrow at times. Also a bonus hole which never sucks. $1 beer after the round if you keep the reciept and $4 domestic beers after that. We had a good time!

Hadn’t been here in 2 years

They made the 12th hole the first hole. So no longer has 3 par 5s in a row. Plays like a real golf course now and the new par 3 is a beast. People were complaining about mowing, newsflash you can bring a 3k lb mower over mud you dingbats. Greens are slow and sticky but in the best shape I’ve seen them. This course is on the up and up, can’t wait for the new tee boxes to grow in.

Mowing is an issue

If they mowed more frequently there would not be so many piles of dead grass to stop or lose your ball in.

Might start a go fund me to buy them a mower. Just a little course maintenance would go a long way in making the course more enjoyable. Layout is not great, definitely will lose. Lot of balls. The staff and clubhouse were great though

Some pluses include decent greens and pretty cheap to play. Overall, course needs a lot of maintenance and weeding. Too many negatives and there are much better courses for a few more bucks

Great Potential

This course would be amazing if they did maintenance. The layout is great, but no one seems to care about course condition.

Lost balls in the middle of the fairway because the clover was six to eight inches deep on some fairways.

Course needs a concerted maintenance program.

Worst course I've played in SD by far. Never thought I'd play somewhere worse than Eagle Crest but this place is it. They did not even try to mow the fairways. Grass (weeds really) was nearly a foot deep in some places. Anywhere you can hit in the fairway and lose a ball cause it's too deep to find anything cannot charge $50 for a round. Never again. Go somewhere else until they start taking this seriously

Rainy Day Blues

We played on a Sunday, only two of us at our tee time. Minimal waiting at tee box. Course conditions could use some work, they have not been able to do maintenance because of the rain. We lost a couple of balls that were not OB just because the grass and weeds were so overgrown. Good greens though
