About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Good Changes Being Made
They’ve taken out the confusing washes in the middle of the fairway. The layout is good… The value is good… The greens are not very good. Is it a result of only closing for a few days during overseed?
Unpleasant Front Desk person
The first person you meet is the at the front desk will make your round of golf pleasant or not! This person was not very pleasant or accommodating. I get the day of frost delay can put everything backed up, but you are person that should be ready to take on the extra stress. Now the starter that day was amazing he would have had the most pressure keeping everything rolling. Staff meeting needed with your desk person. They were not all bad.
Desert style course with great views of the Superstition Mountains.
Desert style course that was fairly open, greens were in good condition, nice views of the mountains.
Enjoyable afternoon
We were pleased with conditions and length of course. We will definitely be back.
Desert links
Not a difficult course…although takes a bit to read the greens. Also took several holes before I realized I could hit the ball off the dirt/sand. Would be a super easy course for anyone who can hit their target most of the time…
Problems
Greens are very rough and have bare patches. Cart paths are vaguely desernable through desert areas and better signage needed to identify path to next tee. Still, enjoyed round.
Fun course
Apache Creek is a good value for the money. Course is in good condition after a few days of hard rain. Drained well. The only down side is the cart paths. There virtually aren't any. If the owners put some money into making the course look and drive nicer for carts, you could charge more and have one of the most popular courses in Apache junction. Outside of the cart comment, it's a fun course and a friendly environment.
Played at Christmas time
Second time playing with my son. The weather was perfect. Everyone else in town thought so as well. Course was full and the time reflected that. It took us just under 5 hours to finish. There was no ranger or beverage cart which would have helped with the waiting and sped things up. So we waited on every shot. Course was in good shape although the greens needed to be rolled. A couple of the Tee boxes need to be leveled. All in all it was a holiday week and we had no where to go so we enjoyed he day
Slow and bumpy
We expect a busy day now that the snowbirds are back, but we did not expect 5+ hours! Also, the greens were bumpy as heck, but otherwise in decent condition. Roll!!!
