About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Greens need work, rough pitted surface on most holes. Layout is nice, fairways dry, hard and narrow. Layout is fairly flat in non residential area. Fair course but pricey for condition.
Keep your head up
The course is laid out such that on many holes there are multiple groups competing for the same real estate. My wife was hit by a golf ball while riding in her cart.
Course is tired and could use some major upkeep.
Investment away from being great
With some investment in greens upkeep, update clubhouse, and some additional scenic features (trees/shrubbery to block sore eye line spots (maintenance areas, roadside), signage on course.
Terrible Condition
The course was in bad shape and slow/overbooked; the kid/guy in the shop was clueless.
I heard this place got new ownership and they were going to "turn it around"; they didn't.
Good for the price
I’ve just gotten back into golf, played this course when I was in high school a lot, overall good course for the money
Watch your head
Lots of balls flying around. The course used the minimum amount of real estate so the holes are intermingled.

Good layout, diversity of hole, length Green normally good were excessivey bumpy poor and slow. Still a fun round

Greens are not good. Very bumpy and need to be rolled.” Had to stand and wait for 15 minutes to hit balls on the range till 5 minutes before my time.
It’s our go to when we want to play.
Fees should reflect the conditions.
Sloooowww play
We waited on e.v.e.r.y. tee box; beginning at the 1st one. Greens were nice and quick; quicker than they looked. Fairways in good condition. Distance between tee box and fairway is too long; too much desert in between. Not everyone is a long hitter.
Solid value for the money
Pace of play was slow as busy on Saturday, but course in good shape overall. Greens had a few rough spots, but rolled pretty well. Tee boxes were good. A few bad pin placements for weekend that slowed pace of play.
Desert course
The greens and overseeded fairways were in pretty good shape. Otherwise pretty much gravel and sand.
