About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

A Beautiful Course
The course is one of the nicest in the area with amazing scenery, especially from the tee box of the 13th hole. My only complaint was the 5 hours it took to play the 18 holes as some folks were unable to keep up with the group in front I suppose. The group in front of us had at least a hole and a half gap between themselves and the group in front of them and we had to wait longer and longer on each hole on the back nine. We have played before in just over 4 hours so perhaps it was just an aberration. A wonderful course. I will try it again.
Nice layout, conditions lacking
A good layout with some interesting holes. Tee, fairway and greens conditions were good. However the rough is a mixed bag of thin dormant grass, dirt and rocks. It's basically hard pan so even the slightest misses are punished.
he course was in in great shape, with some challenging holes, and some great views of the mountains. looking forward to playing again soon
Great Course to Play
The golf club staff and the starters were so friendly it was a pleasure talking with them.
The course was in excellent shape. The fairways and the greens were beautiful.
The carts were the nicest ones that I have had at Green Valley.
Good location
Great condition. Good price through Golf Now, booked 24 hours in advance. Super friendly couple I was paired with. A two-some, a couple groups ahead of us were having a difficult time thus our round was at 4 hours.

The course overall is in excellent shape. The fairways are green, the greens are fast, the pace was excellent at three hours and 45 minutes on a beautiful Tucson afternoon. The staff here is always friendly and I always enjoy playing this course.
Excellent landing sites
A very.fun and fair course .Even though it is scenic and hilly (good) if you hit a good drive you are in a good position and on a fairly level fairway which makes the game a lot more enjoyable . Some more expensive upper end courses (Starr Pass ) are just a lesson in frustration with good shots rolling off the fairway and you ending up on very uphill or downhill lies a lot . There goes another well hit shot slicing off the course !
