San Ignacio Golf Club

About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Bumpy greens
Greens were bumpy. They told us cart path only and we noticed that the fairways were dry as it if never rained. When asked for the course super the desk said they didn't know how to get ahold of them. Wasn't fair being a disabled vet to walk so much.
SI 7/16/25
Just a good place to go play. Nice course, nice people.
Only pitfall is the bunkers but bunkers in this area are ussually an issue. Play it again tomorrow if I could!!
So Disappointed
During the winter this course truly compares to any resort course around. However, this is the 2nd consecutive summer that they have let it go and it sure isn't worth the money. The fairways are sparse and in some cases totally burnt out, the tee boxes are horrible and the overall conditions are unacceptable. Looking forward to next winter play when they cater to the snowbirds. Canoa Ranch is where we will be spending our money for the next few months.
Fuzzy greens
Course was in good shape. But the greens were slow and furry.
Golf course ( San Ignacio)
Overall very happy with staff and course. We just need more water, but that's an AZ. problem.
Golf course ( San Ignacio)
Very pleasantly surprised that course was in good shape. Well maintained for this time of the year plus our annual problem : "WATER"
Wish we had more to use.
All in all, very fun course. Staff was great!
Dangerous Heat
For a Golf course of this caliber, it was extremely disappointing when no beverage cart was mobile in triple digit heat, which is dangerous condition's. Management responded with, there wasn't enough golfers on the course, basically saying those dozens out playing San Ignacio that payed good money were not worthy of getting professional treatment in 102° heat, to fend for themselves in Arizona summer heat. Good luck to those golfing here in the future. They simply don't care about your safety. A beverage hut at hole 10 doesn't cut it with 18 holes!
