About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Great course
This morning I was playing as a single in the middle of 5 groups of 4. Pace of play was a little slow for me understandably , but it gave me an opportunity to hit second balls if I had a bad shot. I looked at it as a practice round and it was awesome. Conditions were good, greens were really nice. Carts are awesome. I am going to start playing here more often.

Play again
Everything was great, but they need somebody out on the course to monitor pace of play. We were in a foursome with a threesome in front of us that held us up all day with nobody in front of them - very frustrating

Creative hole layouts with tough to hit greens
Love the elevated tees and greens. I wish the fairways were bigger or the desert smaller !

Solid Course
We played San Ignacio for the first time and found it a very good experience. The layout is interesting with a rolling landscape and a couple of hit off the cliff holes. The greens were slowish, but rolled true. The fairways were well kept and in good condition given the desert locale. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant. We would definitely go back for more rounds.

Ranger was rude and unaware of how to determine speed of play and how to talk to customers.
Our foursome was having a great golf day, our pace of play was fantastic. We played 18 in under 4 hours. However the ranger approached us about half way through our round and informed us we were 3 holes behind and threatened us with having to miss a hole. We finished the round and waited to see when the next group would come in. It was well over 30 minutes before the next group was in Not sure what the rangers problem was today, but for my money, there are many other nice courses in the area with much more friendly and knowledgeable staff.

this price is way to HIGH
very nice course but golf is getting impossible with high pricing for everything! You can;t play over 1 time a week because its too much money! If you and your wife want to play its a once a week deal. Why dont you lower it after noon and you might have a full tee sheet all the time. YOU Are not a special resort course!!

Wonderful experience!
San Ignacio in my opinion is the best conditioned course in the area. The views are unsurpassed and the staff is the friendliest also. The value is unmatched and the new golf carts with ball and club washers are again not found at the other courses that I have played here in Green Valley. The restaurant and bar is well attended because of the staff and the quality of food. If you haven’t played the course, try it, you will be back like me.

Nice Layout
Played on a Friday afternoon. Course was in good shape and the layout was terrific with several fun holes. The pace was a little slow and no beverage cart in sight. Other than that, had a lot of fun. Will play again.
