About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Golfer Reviews
sunny day
after a low of 25 early in the morning we played at 1pm. It was full sun w slight breeze. Brought a wind breaker but did not use it for the first 15 holes. Course was in great shape. Greens had a lot of ball marks but rolled true and were fairly fast.
Nice course
One of my favorite courses here. The only problem I saw was a couple of greens looked like a war was fought on them. Number 7 had many dead spots where rude golfers had failed to fix pitch marks. Shame on those golfers!
Good course, nice folks
I have played San Ignacio a number of times and have enjoyed every round. The course is an interesting, rolling layout with challenges for all level of golfers. The staff are remarkably friendly and make the visits fun. Definitly worth a visit.
Great as always
This is our favorite GV course. Todays round was wonderful as was the 19th hole with John providing 5 star service.
greens have lots of ball marks
Great golf course. Greens had lots of ball marks
the rest of the course was in great shape.
Sand traps had standing water in them
Keep it in the fairway - you will have a great time
Solid and fun course
San Ignacio is a very pleasant course located in Green Valley, AZ. The layout is better than average allowiing a range of skill levels to enjoy play. The terrain is rolling to hilly with several holes demanding downhill shots to greens or fairways. Staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely a fun place to play.
Very nice golf course
The course was in excellent condition. Great layout. Best I have played in Green Valley.
Play It!!!
Played their many times and well worth the drive from Tucson. Great layout, always in immaculate condition. Often Javalina and deer lounging about. Staff very friendly and inviting and rates very reasonable. Greens are among the best in Southern Arizona (public or private). Wonderful bar, restaurant! Go play!
Nice course
It was a nice course, but the pace of play was little slow. I would play it again.
A course that never gets old
Best shape I've seen the course in the 10 years I've played it. I like how the trees and shrubs along side many if the holes has been cleaned up and cleared out. Bunkers are not really bunkers just rocks. I would recommend just taking it out of the bunkers if you find yourself in one.
San Ignacio rocks!
First of all, they charge a little bit more here in Green Valley than other public courses but they are better, so there ya go. This course is in great shape! I dinged it a bit on "Course Layout" only because it's not walkable... too many long green-to-tee hikes. But the green fees include a cart, so they are aware of that. On we go. I like this course a lot. And, after a round, their bar/restaurant is a favorite of many locals. I recommend this for newbies to Green Valley!
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing San Ignacio Golf Club.
Thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing San Ignacio Golf Club.
