About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Good conditions, great value
I've been visiting Green Valley for about 10 years and have seen this course go through some rough times. But it has flourished the past few years and is now a very good golf course. The fairways and greens are very nice and the bunkers now have real sand in them. The tees are all in excellent condition as well. The clubhouse is excellent with a great pro shop and the bar and restaurant are outstanding. What a turnaround! I will play here every time I am in town visiting.
Good location
Great condition. Good price through Golf Now, booked 24 hours in advance. Super friendly couple I was paired with. A two-some, a couple groups ahead of us were having a difficult time thus our round was at 4 hours.
Beautiful condition!!!
The course overall is in excellent shape. The fairways are green, the greens are fast, the pace was excellent at three hours and 45 minutes on a beautiful Tucson afternoon. The staff here is always friendly and I always enjoy playing this course.
Excellent landing sites
A very.fun and fair course .Even though it is scenic and hilly (good) if you hit a good drive you are in a good position and on a fairly level fairway which makes the game a lot more enjoyable . Some more expensive upper end courses (Starr Pass ) are just a lesson in frustration with good shots rolling off the fairway and you ending up on very uphill or downhill lies a lot . There goes another well hit shot slicing off the course !
