About
Poipu Bay Golf Course has an ideal location between the beautiful coastline and lush emerald mountains. The course sprawls across 210 acres of tropical flowers and vegetation. The site is the former home to an ancient Hawaiian village, whose remnants have been incorporated into the course. Golfers have the rare opportunity to play next to 500-year-old handmade stone walls. Poipu Bay's links-style layout features firm fairways, 85 bunkers, and five water hazards throughout. There are open fronts that allow the ball to roll onto the putting surface. Water hazards come into play on eight holes. The unpredictable winds are the most challenging element of this course. The final two holes provide a memorable finish. The 17th features an ancient rock formation known as Mahualepu and the last hole is a demanding par 5 with a large pond on the left and a lateral hazard on the right.

Beautiful views and spectacular golf as well
Had a wonderful time despite some strong winds. Course was in great condition, practice facilities outstanding. Very friendly pro shop staff.
Consider playing a little shorter tee as the wind can easily be more than 2 clubs hurt
Fantastic layout with beautiful scenery
Great golf course, greens were immaculate and pretty quick. Bunkers were in bad shape due to much recent rain, but understandable. Very interesting track with some fun elevation changes. Ocean is not in play buts adds to beautiful setting of the course. Loved it, but lots of wind
Nice course but pro shop staff was grumpy and unhelpful
Great course and fun to play. However woman in pro shop was rude (down right mean) and unhelpful. Customer service was simply awful
Golf pricing
I would determine usage to be low - I think that the big 3 and Puukea have priced their product too high. If I didn't have a Troon card it would be Wailua every day.
One of my favorite courses in the planet. Course was moist enough that none of my shots ran. Everything hit and stuck. So distance was a problem. Not sure if it’s rained a lot or if they’re overwatering
Poipu - LCD review
The course is beautiful. Course knowledge would make the experience superior. The refreshments cart was a bit tardy in doing rounds. But the views and course itself are worth a round for sure.
Great place
It‘s an honour to play there, where the best of the best have played and that as a club boggie golfer from overseas
Everything was great. Unfortunately nothing was open before or after golf. We were hoping to have lunch afterwards but everything was closed.
Some golf courses in Laquinta Ca understand they can’t make money on food and beverages so they offer free rent for vendors who would like to come in and open up the restaurant at their expense. The Vendors just need to pay for the expenses to keep the lights on. It’s a win win for both parties. Just a opinion

Very beautiful and an honor to play this course , where the bet of the best had played. Great that club golfer and visitors have the possibility to enjoy this great place.

Great round at Poipu
Enjoyed the round! Course staff were friendly and were happy to get us out early after the morning rains! Course was in great shape!
Excellent golf course
Enjoyed playing Poipu for the first time. Adding it to one of my favorite golf course to play in Kauai. Excellent service, tee time, pace of play, facilities, staff and everything.
Very Scenic, Interesting Layout
Greens were fuzzy was the only complaint, the rest of the course was spectatular.
Nice course , views are great, some short far 4’s & 5’s but the wind makes up for that. Had a great time beating my son- in-law.
18 holes of golf
A great golf course challenging but not too for my capabilities beautiful views course well taking care of everybody was very friendly enjoyed it very much want to come back to Kauai I will definitely play it again
