Excellent
Very clean and professional staff, the course was great and challenging..
Thank you from a Michigan Golfer...
Mr. MARTIN CAVAZOS..
Great track, be smart off the tee
Nice track, you will need your driver for 12 of 18 holes. Look at the course pictures before you tee off. Placement is more important then distance. Green firm and quick. Enjoy!
Great public course
Come here quite often. Well kept course with mature trees. A good mix of elevation changes, water hazards and bunker challenges. Good value especially with a Hot Deal.
Good Muni track
Pace of Play was good, as 2 groups allowed us to play through, Fairly busy course. Pace of play could get slow.
Course is somewhat short, but here is plenty of challenges. Bunkers, Fairways and Tee box in good shape. Greens role fairly true but slow.
Nice elevation changes on the back 9. tree lines parkland style course for the most. A few holes play in the open.
Basic pro shop, Snacks and sandwiches at the turn. Water stations every 3 holes. No bev cart observed.
Good value compared to nearby courses.
Nice course but...
Be prepared for people to be on the course that have never played golf before. We were stuck behind 2 groups of young men who seemed as though they’ve never swung a club and didn’t know the first thing about etiquette. No rangers to be found either. Overall it’s a decent public course but gets entirely too much play and several worn areas showed this. If you can get it for under $30 then it’s worth a play.
Wet One
I picked probably the worst weather day of the year to attempt to play.
To their credit, the management let us out in cart with no restrictions. They granted us a 9 hole rain check (we confirmed before we went off).
All in all, course seemed fine. Very wet, and rough in some areas was very long as it probably has been too wet to cut. We played the back 9 and there seemed to be a large number of back pin positions.
Looking forward to the other 9 on a better weather day!
Phillips Park
The Staff was very accommodating. Our original tee time was for 1:22. The Pro allowed us to Tee off @12:06 to beat the incoming Rain. We played through a steady drizzle on the Front9. The Back 9 was in great shape. The staff was friendly. The Course was in great shape. The Greens rolled true. I would highly recommend this course.
Rough rough
The rough was at least 6” long. If you were lucky enough to find your ball, even if just a few feet off the fairway, it was impossible to hit well.
Beautiful course
No beer cart, but besides that it was perfect. I will be returning for another round!
Happy
Fun course. Very playable but has some teeth. Great value. Would recommend to all levels of players.
Tale of Two Courses
If you haven't played this course before, it really is the tale of two courses. First part is fairly open. Then Number 9 hits you. Many winding and tree lined fairways from there. Not super long but you can find trouble if you are too errant.
Played early bird deal and got out before the bulk of the course traffic. Played in 3:05. Hats off to the walker in front of us who started out 1/2 hole ahead and finished 3 ahead.
Greens were true and a good pace. Fairways were ok, rough was juicy. Tees had recently been plugged, so you had to clear yourself a clean spot. That, and several bunkers in need of repair (duly disclosed by the posters in the clubhouse) kept the course condition rating where it was.
