Amazingly friendly staff. Beautiful course. Front nine is easy, back nine will eat your lunch.
The course is beautiful, and the staff are all so friendly. Playing there is definitely a tale of two halves. In all fairness, the extremely friendly starter warned me that the back nine was much more difficult than the front. And boy was he correct. I had a fairly enjoyable front nine, shooting more or less appropriate to my handicap, but the back nine absolutely tore me up. The lesson is don’t attack the back nine at all. Play for pars and bogeys, or you run a high risk of losing quite a few golf balls. Anything less then a 100% perfect shot on the back nine results in a lost ball, guaranteed. Additionally, the tee box on number 13 is utter nonsense. They should try to turn that into grass in some way.

An excellent course.
We went after a rain at 11:30, so we were lucky. No traffic, we’ll maintained fairways and greens. There are many hazards on the back nine which was fun. They let us play nine more at a reduced price. Overall, a very good experience.

Only could finish 9 holes.
Putrid. 3 groups on one tee box waiting at one point.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Back 9 is fun and interesting, good overall
1st time playing this course. Front 9 is a bit too much back and forth and you'll have folks from other holes in your fairway and you'll be in other fairways with wayward shots. Front nine easier than back, which is cut thru woods after 10, tough tee shots, and from the tips, a lot of carry to make fairway... lovely drives thru woods and doesn't feel like southeastern MI on the back. Worth the play just for the back 9 in my opinion, and I want to go back to score better on that 9 now that I know the course! Having course knowledge helpful. Course has tough par 3s. If you choose to play the tips because it's short, beware of long carry holes on back 9... 16 and 17 I believe... you'll need to have over 210 carry at least as 3 of us hit good drives and couldn't carry it. Play the blues on those holes if you know you can't carry or combination blacks/blues from the get go.

Always a good time
Lived in the area for 18 years and never made it out to Whitmore until a year ago. Its fast becoming a regular in my rotation. What a little gem this course is. Well maintained. Fun to play, and scoreable. Great beverages out on the deck after play. Lots of variety from hole to hole. What I like the most is that its the kind of course that you can hit Driver off the tee on almost every par 4 or 5.

Nice Course for the Money
Bring some extra balls if you can't hit your drive straight! Your tee shot sets up the rest of your play to the hole. Several dog leg holes and a few blind shots that will be very challenging if you haven't played the course before so play close attention to the scorecard. You'll want to bring some bug spray for back nine holes if you're smart. All in all it's a nice course and fun challenge with a friendly staff. Reasonable prices also! Have Fun!
