Bellair Golf Park
About
Bellair Golf Park in addition to being a good place to practice one's short game it also tests accuracy with long irons. The course aptly tests control over the ball with the irons. Par 4s make up over half the hole at this executive length golf course. Every one of the greens are heavily bunkered and water hazards come into play on a few holes as well. It is close to a residential area but that only creates more narrow fairways, adding more challenge to the game. The course is well shaded and also well maintained, but play can be slow on occasion. Bellair Golf Park offers many discounts, including a twilight discount, a super twilight discount, and there is also an early morning special.

Some things need work
Have heard some good things about this course and not so good. The top tracer on the range was kinda cool. But they do need to start replacing the range balls that are getting lots of marks on them.
The staff was awesome from inside the pro shop to being greeted outside when my round started. The greens are tricky if you are on the wrong side of the hole.
The not so good is most of the tee boxes need lots of work. Some uneven lies and lots of divots on most of them. I mean I expect that on a course that gets a lot of play but more could be done. The bunkers are an absolute joke. Every single one of them had no sand in and were rock hard.
I would come back as the pace of play was just under three hours. You add some sand to the bunkers and this place would be really cool.
Bellair review - fair
Fairways and 1st cut, excellent. Greens are extremely fast. Cart paths need lotsa work. Bunkers are terrible. They are hard as concrete with no give, even when it hasn't been watered or raining. They need some softer sand. Scheduling for sprinkler systems needs to be adjusted to later in the day as noon tee times were dodging sprinklers by 2:30/3:00. Sprinklers are more efficient at night due to less evaporation.
Descent small executive course
Good course to just take the rust off of your game. Nice range, staff and atmosphere.
limited practice area/opportunity
Most times when I play there is no range bays open to warm up. I purchased the Park Pass partly because of the range discounts and the range balls included with each round. I hardly ever use this because of the lack of availability of space on the range. A good problem for you but not me. I will probably not prurchase a pass in the future. Also, I have stood on the putting green and witnessed 20 minute gaps between groups making the turn. With the volume of play your getting there needs to be ON COURSE management monitoring pace of play. It would be nice to see some type of information somewhere explaining ball mark repair. As an executive course your greens take a beating. A notice posted on the first tee making a suggestion, based on player ability, as to which tees a player should be playing from would be nice. During this particular round I was almost hit 3 times while playing the tenth hole. One ball hit the cart path right in front of me, and another hit the cart. There needs to be more effort at removing range balls for around the 10th hole. The kids moving carts back and forth to the cart barn should have shag bags to pick up balls while doing this.
Fairways were in better shape than the greens or tee boxes. To slow of a pace. Putting groups to close to each other.
Cool
fun track use every club n ur bag greens n fairways n great shape
Conditions improving slowly
We had a quick front nine and then were stuck behind a group of four elderly farmers playing golf in jeans. In spite of knowing they had a twosome behind them, they never had the grace to wave us on to play thru. One of these fine gents parked his cart greenside for two minutes every single hole.. until I yelled "FORE!" that is.
The bunkers are still filled with sandless hardpan, but the greens and fairways are in good shape.
Enjoyed our golf day
Saw singles, twosomes fivesomes, one set of clubs for three people golfing. Definitely does make a difference to the pace of play. However it was a nice day, the course was in good shape overall including the greens. We will be back.
Bellair
Really a par 3 course for beginners! Almost got hit 3 times with other tee shots. Nice practice range but that’s it.
