About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Nice Public Course
Fairways and greens were in great shape. This course has a good mix of water, bunkers, and mature trees.
Very Slow Play and Poor Service
It took almost 3 hrs to complete 9 holes. I tried to get a rain check from the pro shop because of the extremely slow play and they said no. They said “ that’s Saturday in Green Valley. I thought that was a weak response as they’re the ones who over packed the course. I told them I wouldn’t be back and they didn’t seem to care. For the same money Canoa Ranch or San Ignacio is a much better choice, better practice facilities, and beautiful patios for after play drinks.
Never disappoints
T time was at 9am still kinda chilly but sun was out. Course was still kinda muddy in some areas but over all a great course. Thinking of putting on a tournament in the summer, if I play this course more I might bring it here.

Worst pace ever
There were no carts available when you showed up. The staff did not seem to be concerned and just said we will get one. They weren't at all apologetic.
Eventually after getting a cart, we still had to wait to tee off, not even close to our tee time. Then it took us 50 minutes to complete the first two holes!
The course was in decent shape, but we barely got done before dark.
Bad cups!!!
Five out of the front nine cups were not cut correctly Very crooked holes!!! Plus didn't look like they were cut for the weekend!!
Poorest pace ever
When we arrived, there were no carts and we had to wait for them. Once we finally got one, we still had to wait for terrible back-ups to tee off. Then the pace was the worst I've ever experienced. After 50 minutes, we had completed two holes! The course was extremely backed up. We barely finished before dark.
The staff didn't really explain or reassure us. It sure seems like they could've given us range balls to kill the wait time or at least been apologetic.
However, the course was in good condition.
How come there are 3 men's tees and only one for women?
