About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Good
Some areas of the court were not in good conditions, specially near to the greens, I think that for 43 dlls there are better courses near heaven and at a lower price
The course is in bad shape
I've played this course for four years and this is the worst I've ever seen it. Often you find yourself pm bare in the fairway. Forget this course until the winter
I've played it in the winter, and found it to be in good condition, but not now.

Course Conditions Bad
I have played Haven many times over the last 8 years and this was by far the worst the course has ever looked. Almost every fairway was covered in bald patches. There was definitely no advantage to hitting in the fairway. The greens, however, were all in very good shape. As always, staff was friendly.

Terrible Condition
We played in the morning with a biblical amount of mosquitoes. The course is in bad condition mud and patches everywhere. What sucks is Haven didn’t even notify us about the mosquito problem! Not worth the $50 to play!

Fairways are gone
Unfortunately, the course is in really bad shape. Fairways are mostly dirt. Bugs and mosquitos were rampant.

Slow Slow
Had to skip 15 and 16 holes so slow still took 41/2 hours

Course upkeep
This is my first time playing this course. I have always heard about the courses in Green Valley being well maintained. The greens are not consistent, grass is cut at different lengths. Most sand traps are filled with water. The fairways or lack there of were muddy and in terrible condition. Even with bug spray the mosquitos were relentless. 20-30 mosquitos flying in front of my face on every shot, buzzing in my ear. I golf about twice a month and this is the worst golf experience I have had in Southern Arizona. I wouldn't golf this course if it were free.

Needs work
Most of the greens were in pretty good shape. The fairways were mostly in bad shape with most of them missing grass in a lot of places. Could use some seeding. Summer fairways I guess. They were sanding some places, getting ready for the snowbirds I guess.

Bugs!

haven GC is in horrible shape. Very little grass on fairways or around greens. This used to be a very nice course, I won't be back unless and until this course is vastly improved.

Haven golf course has very little grass on the fairways and around the greens. It looks like it is about to go out of business. Very sad. It used to be quite nice.

Can't believe
I can't believe how poorly this course has been maintained. Our group of about 16 seniors platted here last fall and winter and the course was in fairly good shape. Now, not only the fairways, but also the greens have patches of mud instead of grass. Don't even think about trying to hit out of the rock pile bunkers. Shame on this course for letting ings get so bad. When our snow birds return soon, I will try to dissuade our group from playing here unless I see a marked improvement gere.

Course currently in horrible condition
I have played Haven many times in past and generally the course has been in good shape. The course is currently in horrible condition. Very little grass on the fairways and around the green. The heat or something else appears to killed all the grass. Pace of play was too slow.

Mosquito were horrible!!!!!!!! Sprayed ourselves at least 8 times. Had to spray cart and clubs several times.
