About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Soggy
Good course, pretty much played at our pace 3.5 hours. No one in front and next group was 30 min behind us. 6:28 tee time and first few holes were a little too wet but overall had a good round.

Sunday Morning Golf
I play Haven at least once a week. The staff and patrons are always friendly. I love playing here, I do wish they would do something with the sand traps though. I find them very hard like concrete. My club bounces off the sand/dirt when trying to blast out.

Good course but
It was a good course but we were playing a 4some with one of our players being fairly new so a little slow. The personal kept hounding us to pick up the pace when we were still waiting on the 4some before us to finish the hole in front of us. Then they had the nerve to lie to us saying a tournament was about to start and one never did. The course staff is rude. Plus side was the drink cart was by every 3 holes or so

Always enjoyable
Fairways and greens are not bad considering our lack of rain. They are better than Tucson city courses. Price was good and as always you feel welcomed and appreciated. Facilities are well maintained. The rough is pretty penal as there us a lot of dirt vs. grass. The other part of the course that needs attention are the traps, as many public courses need more sand and raked. They were mostly hard packed.

Haven Golf
We teed off on time but the pace of play was fairly slow. We had to wait on every hole, tee shots, 2nd shots, the entire round. This is usually not the case with a 7:03am tee time. Found out later 2 groups ahead of us was holding everything up. Very difficult to play when we’re always waiting. It’s usually not like this early in the morning.

Bunkers need work. A lot of stones. Overall nice course. Fairways were I thought to short.

Windy Day!!!
It was a very windy day, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the beautiful course in its prime conditions so far I believe. The pace of play was perfect and the greens were actually good and rolled perfect. The lady at the front was kind of rude when dealing with customers, more of a know it all person, and came off as very rude. Other than that would definitely play again!
