About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Very playable fairways
Best kept fairways in Green Valley. Well watered. Not rock hard. Greens are good.

Haven Golf Course
Course was challenging at times. Greens were in great shape. Staff were helpful. All in all a good experience..

Quit after 9, TOO MUCH TIME! Where's the Marshal???
The course itself is in pretty decent condition and the greens were playable, at least the front 9 is. BUT THE PACE OF PLAY WAS HORRENDOUS! It took us 2:45 minutes to play 9 holes! We waited more than 5 minutes in between every shot. This should never happen on any course, especially when you tee off before 9:00 am.
The marshal/ranger is useless. He drives around and stops to chat with residents in the area rather than try to speed up play. Had he been on his job, he could've made it worth while to play there. We even caught him talking to a resident who was using binoculars to check out women on the course!!!! Amazing.
If you have 5+ hours to burn on a golf course and don't mind paying $55 for 9 holes go for it. However, you can do a little better down the road a bit where the marshals actually keep track of pace of play.

Good value for the cost
I enjoyed playing Haven. The course was in good shape and the weather was excellent. Certainly a good value for the price.

Not Only are the fairways and greens in great shape, but the "sidelines" at the edges of the course, is beyond great!
