About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Friday morning Golf
The pace of play early in the morning is excellent. The course is in excellent shape. Great value using Golf Now!!

Beautiful course
I’ve played Haven quite a few times over the years, it’s one of my favorites. The pace of play on this day was excellent. The course is set up nicely and the grounds are beautiful. Their staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. I would definitely recommend this course.

Slow golfer
Twice in the last week, I have had to wait at every hole because there is one slow individual out in the first group. The course marshal identified the problem by hole 2 and worked hard to get us past this slow play. HAVEN should identify this person and do something to speed him up. Groups that got past the slow play were finishing 18 when we were on 12. Very Frustrating

Too Slow and over priced ..
5 hr round charged me an extra 20 for my wife to ride with me on tp of the 56 and 6 for range ball to sit at every hole an wait ..then topped off by no hot dog or brats at the turn SD they were out ?? Definitely not a good experience ..

Best condition I've seen it in...
Played Haven a handful of times last year and was not impressed. I know they got hit hard by monsoon damage, so that had a little to do with it. This time was different, the tee boxes were in excellent shape, the greens were wonderful, and everything in between was in beautiful shape. I'd happily go back now. Kudos to whoever worked on this turnaround!

Slowed down
Greens slower than usual, firm, played ok.
Fairways fine, rough is just that (dirt mostly).
Bunkers mixed bag, some playable, others hard pan bounce (see ya later….)
Pace reasonable until half way through the back when foursome of young strapping guys who might hit one out of 20, played at a crawl.
No ranger, no drink cart (back nine) no sense….
This course draws all manner of player and can be fun, under the right circumstances. Just not on the day we played.

Twilight Zone Anomaly
Walking on the 2nd hole fairway between the water and the green, something amazing happened. we teed-off just before 7AM it was in the low 50's . As we passed the water walking to the green we got a burst of warm wind from the opposite direction the wind was blowing. Thank You Haven golf course for turning on the heater, this is something nobody in my 4some ever experienced.

Friday morning golf
I had a 7:03am tee time. I was teamed up with 3other gentlemen that were about the same talent as I am. The course was in pretty good shape and the pace of play was very good. We weren’t held up at any time nor were the group behind us pushing us. It only took 3.5 hours to play the round.

Green Valley Haven
Very good municipal course for learning the game. Wide open fairways and forgiving greens keep the game interesting for those new to the game.or getting back in shape.
The staff is very friendly and fees very fair.

A nice place to play a round
If you want to play a nice course had a very decent price then go to The Haven. Be aware that some of the foursomes are rather slow so enjoy the day and the round
