Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Good Round of Golf
Nice round of golf. Cart path only following overseeding so pace of play was on the slow side. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Tee boxes were a little spotty. Overall friendly course and good value.
Great experience
Course was well maintained was there during the overseeding program so it was cart path only which wasn’t terrible downside was no cart girl throughout round understandable but only knock I had but not worth a bad review since it was temporary circumstance and it was well communicated before I started my round
Haven golf course is in very bad condition. Much of the fairways are dirt or mud. with cart path only in effect the rough was very thick so it was hard to find a golf ball from the cart path. Greens very long and slow.
Ok course with room for improvement.
The course had several flooded areas in the fairways and several bare spots.
Too many golfers were playing loud music from their carts.
Great beginner course
I’ve only been playing for a year so this is a great course to work on your skills without losing a ton of balls, and that’s a big plus for me! I played the day they opened after overseeding and it was in great shape. There were a couple spots that needed some more attention, but over all the fairways and greens were in amazing condition. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is how slow the greens were. You really had to hit it and even then the ball speed would die off really fast. I will absolutely be back to this course to play again.
A good place to hone your skills without losing too many balls
Course was I great shape although mosquitos were a big problem in the early morning. No problem by 10:00. I liked not losing a bunch of balls while I work to improve my game.
Great Place to Play… if I Could
As always. A wonderful place and pace. If you’re masochistic and want to be miserable, this is not the course for you. If you want to challenge the average player, while providing fantastic views and allowing you to meet some very nice people, this is the place. I’m not knocking any of the others, but for the money, this is a real gem. We’re fortunate to have this in our back yard.
Very poor condition
I don’t care that it is two weeks before overseed. There is no excuse for this course to be in such horrible shape. It is the worst it has been in the 18 years I have played here.
Haven golf course
Greens are in good condition fairways a little dry in fair condition
Nice one
Ilike this course and also the People in charge is very friendly
More Bang for the Buck
Always a great course to play: fantastic views, great pace (I had the course mostly to myself), great weather (you have to be acclimated). I’ve read some complaints re mosquitos but none were out in the afternoon. It does make me wonder: if you’re from the Midwest/Northwest/anywhere else, you would be knee deep in the blood suckers at this time. Why are complaining about them here? Next, you’re going to say that it’s too hot this time of year, and all the restaurants serve Mexican cuisine.
