About
The Viewpoint Golf Resort offers both a championship course as well as an executive golf course. The Championship Course provides a fair test of skill of golfers of any skill level with generous, rolling fairways lined with trees and some greens that are severely sloped from back to front. With numerous sand bunkers and water hazards that come into play in the form of three lakes and a small creek, the course definitely makes strategic shot-making a priority. The course also provides a scenic atmosphere for the game with panoramic mountain views and cascading waterfalls throughout. Viewpoint Golf Resort's Championship course is easy to walk and there are four sets of tees for a variety of different golfing options.

Decent course
Played on 2/6/2025, shotgun start at 1pm. Paired with two nice gentlemen and completed the round in just over 4hrs. The course is decent but definitely drying out a bit. Pin placement was brutal and greens were a bit fast but good condition! Bunkers are still mostly dirt and pebbles. The course gives you forgiveness and quite a few slight off fairway hits will roll to your favor onto the fairway, yay! If you don’t like shotgun starts then you’ll need to go elsewhere but it’s okay for us! Staff are friendly mostly and the beverage cart did come around.
Enjoyable round of golf
This was my second time playing Viewpoint. The shotgun start was new to me but no problem. The layout is pretty forgiving and the course was in really good condition. Pace of play was ok. Hated the pin placement on hole #8 though as it was on such a slope the ball would not stop near the hole at any pace.
Good Looking Course
Great warm-up course to get ready for a full size course. Lots of par 3s. Great looking fairways and a beautiful neighborhood.
Shot Gun Tee Times
First time we have experienced shot gun tee times. Fortunately we were paired with two friendly Canadians. The course is beautiful - I would imagine it is gorgeous when the grass is green but the roughs were dead and spotty. We were on in regulation most holes but the greens were very challenging. We would play it again.
Not worth it
This course was decent at best. Greens were playable, quite a bit of geese poop on several tee boxes. The guy in the golf shop wasn’t friendly at all. First time there, asked the gentleman outside where to get a golf cart, he acted as if it was the biggest burden. He pointed at one single cart as if it was completely obvious. There are better courses at same or similar price point in the valley. I won’t be coming back.
Very Nice Course but...
The shot gun start is a nuisance. Would rather be able to book a tee time. Also, the bar needs to get a license to allow golfers to purchase drinks for on the course when the beverage cart is not running.
Viewpoint golf
Course was in good shape. Pace was okay. Shotgun start at 1 pm. They do this for the rest of Peak season, so if you book at 12:30, you are teeing off at 1 pm. All good from our end. A GN hot deal made the cost okay, otherwise like all courses in Phoenix, Its generally overpriced. That's the market here in peak season.
Shotgun Play
Booked a tee time and when we arrived found out it was shotgun play. No problem really except it would have been nice to know ahead. Got paired up with two nice gentlemen and we have a great time! Pace of play 4 hours, beverage cart was around this time. Lots of people but it worked out fine. Course still in great condition. Seemed to be less trash around. Staff is very nice! Golfers need to fill in divots. One of our favorite go to courses!
