About
Located next to several residential areas, the golf course at the Apache Wells Country Club was designed with seniors in mind. With that consideration, the course is mostly flat to make it an easily walkable. The course was originally only a nine-hole course but in 1966, Milt Coggins designed the back nine holes. Trees line many of the fairways and there is also a housing development that runs alongside the fairways. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. Being so close to a residential area, there are many out-of-bounds stakes on both sides. Apache Wells Country Club is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October.

Pristine conditions
The course was in better shape than expected. Perfect for an intermediate golfer. Surprisingly there were no other golfers in front or behind us. Fairways had no bare spots and the greens were true and fast.
Grass everywhere
My playing companion was surprised and pleased by the vast stretches of grass from far left fairway to far right fairway. He plays desert golf mostly. It is also very flat but in very good condition, shame they have to over seed at the end of the month.
Pleasant Golf Experience
We enjoyed the well manicured fence to fence grass at Apache Wells.
The nice course condition made for a pleasant golf experience.
Always in great condition
Apache Wells is a great shorter course. Except for the green coming back after punching (which has to be done) it's near perfect. Staff is super friendly and respectful. Pace of play perfect. My wife and I played in 3hrs 20 min. Probably the best maintained bunkers in the valley. Good job again Apache Wells.
5 somes don’t cut it
Apache Wells allows 5 somes. The one in front of us wouldn’t let us play through. The 5 arrogant idiots were probably members and surely felt they owned the course and the heck with others.
Summer conditions
The course was in pretty good shape for summer. Greens had recently been punched and were a little bumpy but the fairways were in good shape.
Like a nice sun city course.
Friendly staff. Course in good shape. Tucked away off the main roads. You can tell this gets a lot less public play than most courses around. Very similar feel to courses in sun city but in better shape than most.
