About
Located next to several residential areas, the golf course at the Apache Wells Country Club was designed with seniors in mind. With that consideration, the course is mostly flat to make it an easily walkable. The course was originally only a nine-hole course but in 1966, Milt Coggins designed the back nine holes. Trees line many of the fairways and there is also a housing development that runs alongside the fairways. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. Being so close to a residential area, there are many out-of-bounds stakes on both sides. Apache Wells Country Club is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October.

Greens and fairways
Me and my butts have played about 30 rounds since April and by far this was the best course greens fairways all with grass, especially the greens they were amazing slightly fast but true the way they looked and it's nice to find fair ways that have actually grass on them and not just patchy well worth it You've never played go do it
Mesa golf
Overall had a great experience, but the course was wide open as our tee time was 1207. When we checked in, golf shop said to go when ready. We never saw anyone until after the turn…weren’t rushed or anything…then we had had 2 singles come up on us like we were causing a delay.
Course is wide open mind you, our round was approximately 3:10 when the 2 singles came up to us…just let them play through, and still finished under 4 hours. Disappointing that people feel a need to rush on a course that’s completely open.
Also, summer in Az going to be warm…no water on back 9…disappointing. Would play again, just pointing out where experience could’ve been better.
Great Course For The $
If you have never played here, you have to try this course. VERY well maintained, beautiful course. And yes, challenging.
All grass no desert, great value
First thing I loved about this course was that it was all grass and no desert, which is something I look for living in the desert. Course was well maintained. Was a fun target styleish course. I loved the mix of par 3s and 5s. I think there was 6 par 3s and 6 par 5s. I loved that. My only complaint was that the ranger kept rushing us on pace of place. We had a lady, and a couple not so great golfers but we were efficient, still finished our 18 close to 4 hours. I seen the cart girl 5 times! She was awesome.
Worth every penny
Love this course in great shape, well manicured and I enjoy the layout
Good Beginner Course
This might be the easiest course I have ever played. There was no ruff. There was fairway and then fairway with weeds. It was all mowed pretty much the same length. Greens were nice. Staff was nice. It was all good for the price and a good place for a quick relaxing round in a city that can be really expensive to play in.
Great Round
The course was in excellent condition! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable!! I had a great experience and will definitely be back!!
Great round!
I had an amazing experience at this course! The staff were wonderful and the course was in great shape!!
Nice Course, Bad Pacing/Marshaling
Very nice looking course and well taken care of, however, the pace of play is VERY fast. I am not a slow player by any means, but if you are not playing at a 3 hour pace, you will have groups running up on you. In addition, it appears this is a mostly members course so they all have their own carts, therefore you end up with 5-6 carts behind you. I am assuming this is what keeps their pace of play so high as they each can go to their own ball without worrying about anyone else's.
If the marshal would have kept a better eye on them it would have been much more enjoyable but its not fun having 6 carts 150 yards behind you the entire round.
