About
Located next to several residential areas, the golf course at the Apache Wells Country Club was designed with seniors in mind. With that consideration, the course is mostly flat to make it an easily walkable. The course was originally only a nine-hole course but in 1966, Milt Coggins designed the back nine holes. Trees line many of the fairways and there is also a housing development that runs alongside the fairways. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. Being so close to a residential area, there are many out-of-bounds stakes on both sides. Apache Wells Country Club is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October.

Great Round
The course was in excellent condition! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable!! I had a great experience and will definitely be back!!

Nice Course, Bad Pacing/Marshaling
Very nice looking course and well taken care of, however, the pace of play is VERY fast. I am not a slow player by any means, but if you are not playing at a 3 hour pace, you will have groups running up on you. In addition, it appears this is a mostly members course so they all have their own carts, therefore you end up with 5-6 carts behind you. I am assuming this is what keeps their pace of play so high as they each can go to their own ball without worrying about anyone else's.
If the marshal would have kept a better eye on them it would have been much more enjoyable but its not fun having 6 carts 150 yards behind you the entire round.

Nice Suprise
I had not played Apache Wells in quite a few years. I was pleasantly surprised on the condition of the course. The greens were fairly fast and in good shape. The shot gun start was smooth and they will let 5 somes on the course. They did request that you play ready golf. It did not affect the pace of play. Finished in 4 hours.

I’ve played here twice for the 8am shotgun. 4 hour round. Course is in fantastic shape. Highly recommended!

We did shotgun start which kept the pace of play right on time. Staff is friendly and course was in excellent condition. Relatively easy course. Flat and wide open on most holes.
Golfing in the Sun at Apache Wells
It's a rare treat to get a tee time as Apache Wells is extremely played by their membership. Was able to get a tee time and a very reasonable price per player, they put us into the morning shotgun at 8am and we finished around 11:30am. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Will play again and again.
Solid course
It’s obvious the course is well maintained. Tee boxes are flat fairway lies sit up perfectly rough punishes you if you miss fairway. It is a well run and maintenance is second to none!
