Quite Surprised
Look, we all know where seniors stay round the city.. especially when the snowbirds are in town. I booked this round not even thinking about it and my buddy and I ended up being the youngest people within 5 square miles. Driving range was short so i only got to warm up with my driver for a few swings., but that's ok. Shotgun start with seniors meant for a long day, right? Wrong! Pace of play was absolutely fantastic. I think i waited 5 minutes or less on a few holes. The greens were immaculate. They rolled true and balls stuck. You could throw darts at the greens all day. Course layout is fairly easy. They have a 400 yard par 5, which you can expect at a seniors course. Overall i had a lot of fun with the two others we got paired up with and would love to come back in the summer to see if the greens hold up. Great Place to work on your irons.
Great Course several holes that require use of driver.
Found it awkward getting to starting Hole and #10 hole due to lack of signs. Found Members and Staff very friendly and helpful.
great day
Excellent course for the money , well maintained~
Greens are in great shape
The plantings along the course are beautiful, We played a shot gun which turned out well.
great value
had a shot gun start at 727 am done by 945 ,greens in great shape ,had a good time ,would play again, played for $17
good stop
this par 63 track is well groomed with excellent greens. lots of par 3's if that suits your likes.
but definately worth the money.
Short but tight
A fun course to play , 3 hours for a round and in very good condition
nice executive course good condition.
Nice little course. Par 62 has some good par 3 holes, first hole lists as a par 5 but is only 400 yards long. Need sign directing from 9-10. All in all a good experience.
challenging par 3,s
The course is well planned but there was no signs directing you to hole number 10 from hole number 9, otherwise everything went well.
Great Shorter Course
I enjoy this course. It has a great mix of pars with some challenging narrow fairways and greans. Although not full size, you will certainly enjoy the short game.
Beautiful condition executive course
This is a short course but very well maintained and I doubt you could find one in better shape. New carts this year too
Best 3-hour round of golf in Mesa
18 hole course in excellent condition. Also has a restaurant open to the Public.
Fun course to play
Played there many times, always in great shape. Very peaceful and quiet, even though it' has homes along many fairways there were never dogs barking at you like some courses I've played. I'll be playing there again.
bad experience
when I booked round for 2 people,it said walking rate I assoumed that the course had cart rentals.Last fall when I played the golf course they had lots of rental carts . The employee in the proshop said there were no power or pull carts available with the golf now Tee times. They must be having some sort ofproblem with golf now to treat people who book with golf now so poorly. Golf now please tell people that there are no carts for rent at this course. With cart bags we were only able to walk for 5 holes .This was not easy for 2 seniors. All in all not a good place to book time at .
Fun course
great condition. Greens and fare ways excellent. Personnel are friendly. Many scenic holes.
Opportunities
This course has a lot of opportunity. We started the shotgun start on hole one and were paired with two young gentlemen that signed up to play thru GolfNow. The ad said walking but they assumed they could rent a cart when they arrived. WRONG The course would not rent them a cart so they walked in the heat for 12 holes before quitting. Bet they won't be back and they will tell everyone they know about the experience. We were behind a foursome and waited the entire 18 holes. First there was no one behind us but by hole four the slow play of the group ahead of us created a major log jam. We play like this until hole 16 when the folks behind us finished their round. No other words there was a three hole gap between us and the group behind us and they caught us by hole four. That is how slow the group ahead of us was.
Walking Only & GolfNow
This executive course has extremely tight fairways with homes on both sides of every hole. The unfenced yards are out of bounds, so even when our ball would roll into a yard we could not retrieve it.
There was no mention of "walking only" on the GolfNow booking page. This should be consistent on GolfNow as walking times on other courses are clarified.
After booking I noticed the fine print on the confirmation saying that this was a "walking only" tee time. After back-tracking thru the booking process I realized that it had been on the payment page, but I had missed it. This was a pre-paid tee time. We called the course to see if they had pull carts for walking. No. When we got to the course everyone else was on a cart. We walked. We carried our heavy cart bags which are not the type meant to be carried. We ended up playing only 9 holes of our 18.
We do not recommend this course and would ask that GolfNow be clear on their booking page of "walking only" issues.
Fountain of the Sun golf
We had an uneventful round. It wasn't busy but the people ahead of us was quite slow as they were walking. The course is pretty staight forward with only one water hazard. It is a pretty course with lots of rabbits.
